Murmurings before the freekick

Ahh, wasn't me then. I don't do smiling. And I wasn't wearing a Leicester shirt. ;):P

Which one was you? Was you directly behind me?

I take it you are taking full credit for his performance then! Next time you see him, ask him for a cut of the goal bonus!

I don't deserve any credit, nor do I want it. I'm just thrilled for the lad cos he must feel like he's emerged into the daylight from a deep pit.

I've long stated that Maxi is a chirpy footballer who, because the very nature of his game is risky, needs people to keep believing in him and backing him when he tries to make things happen.

I don't suppose my enthusiasm as a fan in letting the guy know that I still believed in him and that he needed to keep believing in himself, was especially unusual anyway, nor do I imagine it had the slightest impact on today's proceedings.

But, if it did, I'm delighted for him and for the club, not for any other reason.

2 rows behind you. Right next to the aisle. You had some mardy sod directly behind you who muttered about not being able to see when you were stood up then spent most of the game braying to his mate on his phone and taking enough pics to put David Bailey to shame. :P

He said to me, If they stand up I stand up, If they dont I sit down so you'll have to sit down. I tryed to get the Stand up if you love Leicester chant going but it didnt work.

Me, the lad in front and a lad a few seats to the left kept trying...just not enough people interested.

i was in the car with my dad at the time (bad times.

before: "my boy will come good. he has to come good, i told you at the start of the season, max'll come good"

after: Head hit the roof at about 40 mph, wound down my windows and was shouting get in son! at passers by, all the while honking the horn to the tune of 'theres only one gradel'.

Do you mean you'd left? Or you didn't go to the game?

Yeah he made out it was my fault in a 'she's a women, she'll want to sit down' kinda way. I explained to him I was more than happy to stand but that didn't seem to suit his argument.

Must admit, I did giggle when you were stood up singing it all on your own. Sorry. :P

I was alright standing up, I was in Row CC (second from top) and the kids behind me stood up so I was okay to do the same (I even asked if they could see the game, no problem).

Not too many ****** near me, I'm pleased to say.

My reaction was to think "GRADEL! He can barely get a cross above head height", I got ready to get up, thinking it was over, took one earphone out only to hear Stringer screaming in the other one :D

Can't remember what I said, just a blur. When the free kick went in it was just carnage to be honest. Onto the segregation then down the front jumping on the barrier.

According to Stringer (admittedly not the most reliable of sources), we must have had about a dozen free-kicks around the box before the one that Gradel scored.

Perhaps that's another reason for giving him a starting role in the next game.

Wasn't at the game myself and listened to it on the radio. Apparently I was rising out of the chair as we got the free kick, my missus was at the table and watched me go into a frenzy. I woke her dad up who was fast asleep on the sofa and in the process I smashed my bottle of beer (knocked if off the table) and broke my headphones because I threw them on the floor in delight.

Trying telling me it was over the top, I think it was a warranted reaction.

It made me even more proud when on Soccer Saturday I could see thousands of City fans going crazy!!
