Benji Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 He was good. He left because our manager said he was fat and needed to lose weight That was 3 years ago though, you only have to look at Duke for Hull who was playing park football not so long ago, let's hope he continues our trend of good loan signings.
syston_fox Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I'm sure this question comes up every time a new signing comes in but..... .... how many loan players are we allowed to sign in a season?
Pegosteve Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 As suspected his temperament could be a problem if he turns up with his head screwed on we could be OK if not it could be a problem. Lets hope NP knows what he is doing and has good reports on the lad.
General Smuts Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 That was 3 years ago though, you only have to look at Duke for Hull who was playing park football not so long ago, let's hope he continues our trend of good loan signings. There was a reason he was playing park football, surely he was very injured?
AjcW Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I watched him live for darlington a couple of times....all i can say is i was so so impressed, excellent shot stopper and good distribution to go with that. Wasnt surprised at all when fulham went for him....i have to say if hes their third choice then we need to make friends with him and his agent because he would be a quality number one next season Also i still havent been dissapointed by a single loan signing pearson has made this season....and this is yet another premier leauge player.
Hitesh Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 As long as he does the job I'm not fussed! Bit risky playing a new keeper but Bunn did well and just hoping the new kid can!
Joe. Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 As long as he does the job I'm not fussed! Bit risky playing a new keeper but Bunn did well and just hoping the new kid can! More risky playing Pentney though I reckon.
MC Prussian Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 As long as he does a good job against Stockport. We could use two good hands against them. Main concern is that I wonder how much stability and calm air he has about him to command other players in the box. Still a very young keeper.
craigadams22 Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Um, Sounds like another impressive on loan goalkeeper for The Foxes. Let's hope he does well in our goal, I mean Mark Bunn did well before he when't back to Blackburn Rovers. Kindest Regards Cubbio242009
ozleicester Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 He'll be the 5th keeper we've used this season in competitive fixtures, and I guess not many teams in the football league can boast that. Its a competition between Managers last year..and Keepers this year Um, Sounds like another impressive on loan goalkeeper for The Foxes. Let's hope he does well in our goal, I mean Mark Bunn did well before he when't back to Blackburn Rovers. Kindest Regards Cubbio242009
izzetafox? Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 I'm sure this question comes up every time a new signing comes in but......... how many loan players are we allowed to sign in a season? Taken from an sheff weds forum - A maximum of five loan players - either emergency or standard - can be named in a squad of 16. No more that four loan players - either emergency of standard - may join one club from another. Emergency Loans There is not a limit on the number of emergency loans a club can have in one season. Loans are for a minimum of 28 days, and a maximum of 93. Standard Loans Standard loans are only permitted during the registration periods i.e from July 1 to August 31 and January 1 to January 31. A club can have up to eight players on standard loan at any one time during a season. Four of which must be under 23 years of age, and four over 23 years. Players signed on a standard loan cannot be recalled during that loan period.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 There was a reason he was playing park football, surely he was very injured? I beleive your on about Mr Duke for Hull - well he had cancer i believe, there was a peice on him in football focus that i caught a bit of, but I'm pretty sure that was while he was at Hull. And I'm getting pissed off now - all these keepers and Nige hasn't considered me yet. Think I'll try and get myself on a Premier League bench somewhere!
Jon the Hat Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Stockdale played for Worksop Town, that's where I live Bad luck. On the other hand Pentney played on loan for Woking this season. Which is where I live.
soley118 Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1576209,00.htmli actually thought it would be him He come into the VIP lounge after the game and said he had never heard fans boo at a team like that before even when he was bottom of the league
lifted*fox Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 He come into the VIP lounge after the game and said he had never heard fans boo at a team like that before even when he was bottom of the league I'm sure he'll get used to it over the next month with our idiot fans.
