welck12 Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Can't quite fathom why this thread is still going?? I just love the fact it doesnt seem to have talked about jade goody for a couple of pages now...
Babylon Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Can't quite fathom why this thread is still going?? Because it's fun and light hearted... Jade would have wanted it that way.
Daggers Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 The media are desecrating her grave before she's even entered it. How? She was a soulless corpse before she died, having sold it to anyone wanting a photo of her. Had she had an ounce of intelligence she'd have realised that this was the price those living on after her would have to pay for her greed.
Dr The Singh Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Woah hang on there, what about Ghandi? He doesn't have a grave, he was cremated!!
Corky Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Woah hang on there, what about Ghandi? Same applies to him
BoneDog Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I've got an idea. Why not start another thread for your jokes? Or just go back to your deathlist ting and be controversial in there? Cos it aint really funny
Uncle Albert Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I've got an idea. Why not start another thread for your jokes? Or just go back to your deathlist ting and be controversial in there? Cos it aint really funny So you werent a fan of this joke? Whats the difference between a Goat and cancer? Jade Goody cant milk a Goat! To be honest I thought that was the funniest joke I have heard in along time.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I've got an idea. Why not start another thread for your jokes? Or just go back to your deathlist ting and be controversial in there? Cos it aint really funny I don't understand why you're getting so worked up about Jade Goody in particular. I've seen the posts that you've made that were deleted too. The things that have gone on in this thread are no different to any other threads on Foxestalk. I didn't see this reaction in the Fritzl thread for instance when some people made jokes about that. I'm just intrigued why Jade Goody has struck such a cord.
Koke Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I don't know. I mean I feel sorry for her kids and her mum. But I didn't care about her when she was alive, and I sure don't give a shit now that she's dead.
Zingari Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I don't know. I mean I feel sorry for her kids and her mum. But I didn't care about her when she was alive, and I sure don't give a shit now that she's dead. the same could be said for all the victims of wars , hiroshima etc etc , at what number do we switch on the compassion button ?
Uncle Albert Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 The posts I made were dirceted at two grown men who made sick posts about Jade. I never crossed a line, they did. You have no sense of humour.
BoneDog Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 You have no sense of humour. Well, you wrong there captain. You might laugh at anything, but I laugh at proper comedy. I've been pissin meself since 1979. It just takes a bit more to make me laugh than it does you Cyril
Uncle Albert Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Well, you wrong there captain. Well if you cant see the funny side to a few harmless jokes then you have no sense of humour. Im sure you have laughed at some jokes in the past that are offensive to something or other? We all have. So get of your high horse and join in the banter.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I fail to see any sort of humour in the death of a 27-year-old mother of two. For those oblivious of the idea of fame and media interest, I suppose there's a soapbox available here to try and be a bit edgy, congratulations. Personally I just find the whole saga completely tragic and depressing, and for the first time made me realise that cancer can affect people of a similar age to me. Whether I was naive not to realise that before; whether Jade Goody was completely unaware that this would affect people in that way; whether the media have given that effect a second thought or not, that's what has happened in my case. If people are unable to cope with a previously ordinary person suddenly being famous and then a desperately sad series of events unfolding without losing all sight of moral values, then I think that's a lot more worrying for this world than anything Jade Goody did which people might have perceived badly.
Edmund Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 The best advice el empty is if you don't like what you read ignore it and don't react.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 While I have no real compassion for Jade Goody I'm not sure you can tell someone "they have no sense of humour" for refusing to laugh at her death, . That's a bit far.

Have you seen the deleted posts I responded to? One was this "Hope her kids have got the reciepts for her Mothers Day presents". The other was "Bout time". That aint harmless jokes. That aint uckin comedy whatever you say. I have a laugh every day of my life. A proper laugh, not tryin to shock laughs. Shock laughs aint comedy. Look at the classics. They aint shock laughs, they're proper comedy. Jokes So don't judge me for gettin vexed at real life
