On todays performance and on current form? Have a word.

Probably not on today's performance. But over the next 6 games I still think that we'll do enough to stay top.

So you'll jsut laugh at anything and everything that's said to me?

Like we should have done enough against Oldham, Swindon & Colchester? No.

Lets add Brighton & Stockport to that list too.

Okay, admittedly our form should be better. But I think we'll pick up wins against Carlisle, Scunny, Hereford and Crewe. 4 wins will move us on to 94 points. And I think Peterrborough will drop points at Millwall and Oldham. Pretty sure that would see us top.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm only hoping for the best.

Crap. Crap crap crap.

We have nothing upfront even with Steve Howard.

A few half chances is all we got all game.

But we will still go up anyway :chant:

Just back now, no doubt in my mind who were the better team today, Posh were simply too good on the day. Especially in the second half.

The people booing can fook right off as well, I just don't understand that at all.

We will go up still, disappointing day, shit weather, could hardly see the game from where I was standing but I think the top two will remain the same now come the end of the season.

What a shit day.

Started hungover after 4 hours sleep and ended drenched in hail and depressed. The Drapers Arms had quite a decent atmosphere until everyone thought a good 11am glass dropping German Bomber singalong was the right way to go. Some of our fans are wankers. Still, they do what they do, not exactly a surprise. The police and staff seemed remarkably relaxed about it all although sending a copper up to the toilets to clear everyone out was a bit over the top.. "err I'm in the middle of a piss sir...".

The police escort was annoyingly slow although to be fair the coppers seemed a decent bunch, had a bit of a laugh with them. Highlight was me and Alex asking if a pregnant woman could still piss in a policeman's hat if requested, to which he responded "yeah as long as I can shit in her handbag". Fair play.

Barely saw the first quarter of the game, must have been about 200 fans too many in there, moved to the right though and had a decent view. Peterborough were better than us all over the pitch, we really missed our "spine" of Tunchev, King and Howard. Thought Oakley was decent although he tailed off, Fryatt struggled to make any impact, Hobbs was good, Dickov was wank. Got the feeling that while some of our players played fairly well we just didn't look like a team, very disorganised and scrappy and I guess that falls on Pearson, albeit with a reduced squad.

Got ****ing soaked on the way back to the station. Horrible end to the day. And now I'm a little concerned. I still think we've got an automatic promotion place come the end of the season but this isn't going to be a pleasant run in. I guess that's just Leicester though. If we made it easy it'd be boring.

Well we have to do things the hard way, so the best thing to do now is keep our heads high and keep things positive. Bring on Carlisle! :chant::scarf:

Absolute ******, also singing 'No surrender to the IRA'. Why? Twats.

Anyway, Peterborough were just better on the day as far as I'm concerned. Two well taken goals. We seemed all too content to play the ball in the air for no apparent reason and it cost us.

Great support from the Blue Army - we outsung the Peterborough fans all game - tbh it wasn't hard, all we had to do was for about 5 of us to sing lol The songs: 'Just like a library' and 'just like a cemetary' were fully deserved and the Peterborough fans were crap. We even outsung them when we were 2-0 down lol

Now to the match: Dickov and Hayles - waste of space, waste of time. Kisnorbo returned and I realised why I was never really keen on him - HOOOOF BALL!! Great defender but no skill or technique. Mattock poor again. Dyer was kept quiet. Only real spark was Gradel when he got the ball because he actually wanted to go forward!

I think that teams have slowly worked us out, e.g. Dyer has no right foot, if you control Howard then you control Fryatt. Although, tbh, how much we missed Howard today.

I didn't actually think that Peterborough were anything special - they just scored 2 more goals than us on the day and weren't afraid to shoot. Listening to Radio Cambridgeshire on the way back didn't half make me laugh. They reckon they could have scored 4 or 5 lol - that's about all the shots they had all game! If that's how they want to play it then we could have scored 3. Aaron Mclean is also well-overrated. Barry Fry is an idiot, knew I should have pissed on his car when I saw it lol

The conditions didn't help to be honest. As soon as it started hailing it down, they scored their first.

EDIT: also the Ref was SHOCKING

Got what we deserved, **** all.

Shite conditions first half, same for both of us though. We weren't up for the challenge. Lost way too many second balls all over the park, but then again we never seemed to challenge for the first one half of the time. You don't win football matches by doing that, I expected more from a Nigel Pearson side.

Gradel and Adams just seem to clot up the space in the middle, I realise we didn't have a target man but you can't create chances playing that narrow, you have to open up the pitch.

Very frustrating, we never had anything up front. Fryatt seems to think he doesn't have to turn up unless Howard is doing his work for him and Dickov is simply not up to playing a whole match.

The same diagonal long ball didn't work for the whole of the game yet we persisted with it, the amount of times the same ball was headed away or fell out for a throw was unreal.

Saturday is a crucial game where we will have players back, if we don't win on Saturday it's going to be a very tough few weeks.

Great morning (the Cherry Tree), absolutely sh*te afternoon.

The team out there today looked completely fragmented, and never seemed interested in fighting for a result. At the end Oakley was halfway to the tunnel before Pearson pointed out that he hadn't bothered to acknowledge our fans. Dickov spent most of the game shouting and cursing at anybody and everybody including his team mates and was diabolical.

There doesn't seem to be many people thinking that there's anything stopping us being promoted... However Millwall and Peterborough have closed 9 points each on now us in the last 7 games, if that form continues, and looking at us at the moment i don't see anything to suggest otherwise (1 win in 6 at home for example), then we're finising third.

I was disappointed that NP never brought anyone in for TC we have not had the same results since Tunchev got injured and MD went to Bolton, There as got to be a massive improvment for next week or i can see us being involved in the play offs if we are not careful today was like last saturday absolutely crap.

Millwall and Peterborough still have to play each other.

And Millwall's recent home form (1 win in 6 games?) has been poor.

We should have wrapped this race up weeks ago. The fact it's going to the wire does not reflect well on either the team or the manager.

As for missing Howard and King, didn't they both play at Tranmere when we lost there?

We got exactly what we deserved today. You could see whatever 'tactic' we were trying to play was never going to get us goals.

Two well taken goals by a very good side today.

Well Done Peterborough

They were well taken but Hobbs should have never headed the ball across his own goal when he could have cleared it, which lead to their first goal, and where the fook was Mattock on the left side for their second.

I think Mattock has been totally shit this season TBH and if anyone came in with a decent bid sell sell sell. An overrated liability.
