Hopefully the players wont feel the panic like most of this board, because then the pressure might cost us important points. Hopefully the players will want to revenge this over the next few games and step up their game. Heads up!

Hitesh Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 Sounded like we were played out of this game by a good working Peterborough side. We didn't seem to do much when attacking and it highlights a few points of our style at the moment: - We are very 1 dimensional and rely on Steve Howard too much - Matty Fryatt is a confidence player and when he hasn't got someone to do the hard work for him, he will struggle. A good goalscorer but only when he has the service! - We need a creative midfielder to open things up a bit. This is only from what I have heard from the past few games, and it's still important to realise we are effectively 2 wins ahead of them. I still believe we are going to go up and most likely win the championship but we do need to open our style and options a bit more. I realise that we were missing a few players today who probably would have made the difference but it does show that we are lacking that quality in depth. Still, I'm staying confident despite this blip in form and think we have done all the hard work enough to go up! Just wish some of the fans will realise this!

It's now a fight for the title, but with our goal difference advantage, we are 5 points ahead, so effectively 2 wins. That's still a heck of an advantage.

demon_dog Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 Thought we may lose today TBH. Not really bothered as to whether we finish 1st or 2nd in the league, as long as we get automatic promotion. My main concern are Millwall and MK. people are saying that we will not be caught, I hope that they are correct. Millwall are now 2 games in hand, if they win both of those the gap closes to 6 points with 6 games to go. It's not over until the maths say so.
