I was thinking they look a bit different.

I agree. Looking at those pics of birch with he fan it looks terrible. How could you mess a plain shirt. I mean its average at best. Nothing special at all. I will have a proper look at it down the megastore and give the club the benefit of doubt that it was a bad pic before I decide because I really wanted to buy one this year with no sponsor.

I have to agree mate, only Leicester City could do this. Great idea (plain shirt), crap shirt! Ideally (though just my opinion) the badge which in itself is ok, would debatably look better offset. But... that large JOMO is a joke. If the manufaturer didn't want their name a tastefully discreet size then why didn't we go elsewhere. In the current climate, anyone would be grateful for a contract of a few thousand shirts. Whilst we might not be able to attract a tasteful stylish Nike 'tick' there surely must have been a better alternative than this JOMO cheap looking tack! JOMO = JUST an ORRIBLE MINGING OBJECT. Very disappointed, it was a great opportunity to at last get a great shirt that the club would have made a bundle on, I bet it doesn't sell any more than usual. Would Liverpool, Man Utd or similar supporters rush out to buy such a shirt with tacky crappy white side panals and joke logo? Second rate shirt to fob off on what they think are second rate supporters that just keep putting up with it.

You've only seen the photos then? It's really not a bad shirt

I think the reason we've got Joma is because they're paying us (the most) to make the shirts, as opposed to us paying someone like Nike to make them. In the 'current climate' it makes sense

If they are paying us, does that not make them a kind of sponsor?

Did you ask that about Jako, JJB, LCS etc?

Does it matter?

Not really I suppose unless you take the club at their word that we were going to be sponsorless this year. Therefore you may as weel have had the usual shirt sponsor with all the dosh that comes with it.

A much better shirt - just the v-neck style sells the new one for me!!!

Craig - is it possible to have the Championship stickers thingy done by the club shop when I do an online order (together with the numbers and the lettering)?

Quality shirt for once.

You were never going to be happy, were you?

I think so, but i'm not sure you can order the shirt online at the moment for some reason

Moan, bitch, moan. We are bored aren't we!

Wait till you see the shirt and try it on. It's definately an improvement over our current offering.

A shirt without a main sponsor will always look a little strange at first. We're used to seeing 'more stuff' plastered all over it. With the addition of the Championship badges on the arms and a number and name on the back, it will start to look like the real deal.

It just takes some getting used to.

Alright, I admit it, I'm a miserable old git! I do like the badge though so it'll probably grow on me. Will I buy one? I bet I end up getting another three for us all! Sucker eh, but you can't beat a good moan.

Firstly, it's JOMA.

Secondly, what were you expecting? The kit manufacturers name not to be on the shirt?

The shirt looks fine.

its excellent especially when u see it in the flesh i think its the closest thing weve ever had to a proper football shirt weve always had crap the jako 1 was the biggest pile of w@n% ive seen the fox leisure designs were classic but still cheap and flawed i hope the next few continue as good as this 1 now

Ive got nothing against the manufacturer, just the design. Judging by the pic it looks cheap and tacky and I agree with most of what you have said. (This is only judging by the picture I must stress)

Typical, just because I don't think it looks good im now a bitch.

I never said that no sponsor looked strange, I just think it looks shite judging by the picture with birch and the fan. For one the panels look crap. Am I not allowed an opinion. If I go clothes shopping do I have to like everything I see.

And I think your last sentence summed it up for me. "it just takes some getting used to". I mean if a shirt is really standout it's love from first sight and you shouldn't have to get "use" to it.

Just because you spent your money on the shirt and are trying to justify to yourself that you havn't wasted your money doesn't mean you have to bitch about people bitching? Bitch lol

Like I SAID I will give it the benefit of doubt and have my final opinion when I go to the megastore and look at in the flesh, as to judge it on that picture solely would be silly as I was desperately looking forward to this years shirt but im not going to be deluded and lie and say yeah it looks great when it clearly doesn't IMO on that pic.

:P

This kit was always going to be like Marmite and Maggie T - love it or hate it...

I think it's better than last season's, if only because the badge isn't in an unnecessary white shield and it doesn't have a waving tile on it. Bit of a lost opportunity though, could have been a bit more inventive, and a bit bolder with the 'retro' idea. Not sure about the white underarm panels at all. I agree it might look a bit better 'in action' though.

BUT we are finally back to wearing white shorts :appl: , so that's something at least. Hopefully the away kit will be alright :fc:
