It amazes me that a Club like City are still poncing around trying to sign an unknown from Lincoln City, talk about Man U and RM

bit harsh- in truth we don't know what other deals are in the offing and each one requires some attention to detail I guess

it amazed me that that a club like city ponced around signing unknowns like Izzet, Lennon, Guppy, Matt Elliot, Savage.... And to believe we had the cheek to sign an unknown called Steve Walsh from Wigan for a crazy 100k !!!

i mean, what did they ever go on to achieve for the club? :angry:

I doubt very much if we are 'poncing around' as you put it. If we get the player it will be because the deal has been agreed in principal already, but we can't actually sign the player until his contract ends in a couple of weeks time. We will also either agree compensation or pay whatever is required through tribunal. Just because people want to talk about it does not mean that our club has been poncing around. They are probably very relaxed and will let you and the rest of us know what has gone on when they are all back off holiday and they actually have something to tell us.

Actually it's quite good to see them speculating and taking some risks, although they ought to make clear what it is.

Lincoln winger Dany N'Guessan has revealed that he has agreed a move to Leicester City.

The 22-year-old Frenchman says he has struck a deal over his personal terms.

But he thinks an independent tribunal will have to resolve the wrangle over how much City must pay Lincoln in compensation.

N'Guessan, who rejected a new deal at Sincil Bank, confirmed to a source in Lincoln that he is on his way to Leicester.

City chief executive Lee Hoos and Imps chairman Steff Wright are trying to thrash out an agreement while they attend a Football League meeting in Portugal this week.

Before the talks, Lincoln vice-chairman Bob Dorrian said: "I think a lot of things can get done in Portugal.

"The Leicester chief executive is there and it may get done over a couple of pints, you never know."

Lincoln are understood to be looking for £400,000 for N'Guessan because he is under the age of 24.

The Imps are also trying to offset the 33 per cent sell-on clause which Rangers – one of N'Guessan's former clubs – have in place.

City are thought to want to pay less for the pacy winger, who started his career with French club Auxerre.

N'Guessan rejected a new deal at the League Two club and Leicester have been among the front-runners to sign him, ahead of the likes of Ipswich, Leeds and both Sheffield clubs.

City have been keeping a close watch on N'Guessan since he impressed in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at the Walkers Stadium in September.

The match ended in a penalty shoot-out win for City, but N'Guessan came the closest to scoring for the visitors in a powerful display.

A source close to Lincoln said: "He is very speedy and can play on either wing.

"He's over 6ft tall and is good in the air, but there is just a question mark over his inconsistency, although I'm sure working with Nigel Pearson will improve that."

N'Guessan was spotted by the Imps while on a loan switch from Rangers to League Two Boston United.

He joined Lincoln in January 2007 and has made 70 starts, scoring 16 goals for the Sincil Bank club."

You are living in the past the games moved on since then,if you listen to RL and read the Mercury this deal was supposed to sorted out 3 weeks ago then this week when MM was back from his jollies and again this week LH returned from his jollies, by the way have you seen this guy play i have seen him once but you cant go on that but one or two who have seen him have mixed opinions of him.

Also that Stockdale will come back, We are going to go with an improved bid for cox, and we are also looking at a couple of players from portugal.

Don't know how true it is but just thought i'd say what i've heard.

Well Dany kept us all Guessan (:w00t:) for a time but we have finally signed him

Hehe you know what I mean though... It all looks set in stone now, obviously it could still go belly up but i'd say it's 95% certainty he will sign for us.
