lol maybe. I have an LCFC one, been trying to make it fit another club for many a year, (not the foxes though! )

The L could be turned into a D, then you'd be a Derby County supporter, but then Lincoln seems strangely more appealing...

Reported in 'Vital Lincoln' today - they expect Dany N'Guessan to become a Leicester player even though Sheff Utd are interested. They say Milan back from his Hols on Monday and will be determined to do a deal outside of 'tribunal', which is exactly what Lincoln City want. LCFC are already very close to agreeing terms with the 'smokey' 6ft winger.

The Sincil Bank supremo says a deal could be struck between the Imps and the Foxes next week.

"We are in negotiations with Leicester City regarding a compensation package for Dany" confirmed Wright.

"The Leicester chief executive is away at the moment.

"But myself and Dave Roberts (Lincoln's chief executive) will be attending the Football League's annual meeting in Portugal next week. A lot of business gets done out there as we're all in the same place.

"To our knowledge, Dany has not agreed terms with Leicester, but as he is a free agent, that is his business. He may well have done.

"For us to start negotiating a fee with Leicester is par for the course. That will be the fee if and when Dany agrees personal terms."

It's funny how they never seem to organise these things in a Premier inn in Barnsley. I wonder how much that is costing each club for that jolly up!

Does he want to join or not. Starting to get annoyed.

he wants to join but as he is under 24 we will need to sort out compensation... it either goes to tribunal to we discuss it with them..

Yeah, but by the time they sort this stuff out, he'll probably be over 24, so it won't matter...

Lincoln City want £400,000 from Leicester City for French winger Dany N'Guessan.

City are thought to be close to signing N'Guessan, whose contract expired on May 23.

Lincoln are entitled to compensation because of the rules governing players aged 23 and under.

Imps chairman Steff Wright is hopeful of agreeing a compensation package with City without the need for a tribunal.

He believes Lincoln should be entitled to a similar fee to that which Leicester paid Liverpool for defender Jack Hobbs.

Former Imps defender Hobbs joined Nigel Pearson's side on a permanent basis, following a season-long loan spell, in a deal believed to be worth £400,000

However, Wright suspects the fee Lincoln eventually receive will be lower as the clubs are negotiating a compensation package rather than a straight transfer.

a bit off topic I suppose and completely rhetorical but why t.f. do they all have to go to portugal for a meeting (accompanied by girlfriends/boyfriends/wives/etc. presumably all on expenses)- what a f***ing liberty- couldn't they find a venue in this country?

Hes clearly deluded! We should let the tribunal sort it - Im sure they wont make us pay anything like that amount!

I just hope he turns out to be worth all this hassle lol

If you need a venue for a few hundred people it can be very cheap to stay in Portugal.

Flights are probably cheaper than taking the train somewhere in this country anyway.
