Alexikokopops Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I wasn't quite sure if it was Corinthians or not. He's owned by Media Sports Investments (represented by Kia Joorabchian). He moved to Corinthians because they had a deal with MSI
Sparky Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Anyone know the difference between the MSI deal with United and thier deal with West Ham that caused so much controversy ?
The Doctor Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Anyone know the difference between the MSI deal with United and thier deal with West Ham that caused so much controversy ? tevez and mascherano were originally given to west ham as part of a takeover by MSI but then the deal fell through and the transfer should have been cancelled because it was dependant on that takeover bid being successful. Man U agreed a deal outright with MSI without those conditions so it was, in theory, just like any other loan.
Bakey Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 So is Mascherano's situation the same as Tevez's but not leaving his club and Liverpool buying him?
Finnegan Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I'd probably rather see Tevez - Gerard - Torres than Tevez playing a bit part in the Berbatov, Rooney, Ronaldo link up. Would like to see him go to Liverpool. Great player to watch. If they sign Tevez and David Silva they'll have one damn quality attacking side that's for sure.
flanimal Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 How long before Man City qualify for The Championes League?
The Doctor Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 So is Mascherano's situation the same as Tevez's but not leaving his club and Liverpool buying him? No when mascherano left west ham liverpool brought him from MSI on a permenant deal.

Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2009 Author Posted 17 May 2009 Yea Liverpool paid that company who owned the two £20 million for Mascherano, worth every penny of that. If Tevez was to go to Liverpool I think he would replace Dirk Kuyt or Albert Riera and play as wing forward for them. Would be a great signing for Liverpool. Tevez did say that he will stay in the Premier League.
Koke Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Tevez doesn't strike me as a player who will score 20-25 goals a season, so Manure have to weigh up their options and ask themselves whether he is worth that big fee. I don't think he is. He's a damn fine player, but not worth the £25-30m fee that is being thrown about in the press.

I'm not sure where I heard that, maybe SSN.

Can't imagine that Kuyt would be dropped after his first decent season although he could be switched onto the right like at the begining of the season
Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2009 Author Posted 17 May 2009 Can't imagine that Kuyt would be dropped after his first decent season although he could be switched onto the right like at the begining of the season Apparently there are a few clubs interested in Kuyt and Lazio put a bid in for him in the recent transfer window, something like £18 million.
Bakey Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I do remember hearing that Juventus were one of those clubs.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2009 Author Posted 17 May 2009 I do remember hearing that Juventus were one of those clubs. All speculation though. Like I said earlier I think Tevez might stay at United, with him scoring the winner in the Champs League Final.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I'm sure I heard something about a possible move back to Argentina? I'm not sure where I heard that, maybe SSN. He's always said he wants to go back to Boca one day, not too far towards the end of his career when he's past it, but when he's at his peak. Can't see that being now though. He'll stay in the Premier League next season, Liverpool / Man City will get him. I just hope he doesn't stay at United. EDIT - And there has been speculation in Italy about a move to Juve.
flanimal Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 a player like Tevez deserves better than being a super-sub - even at United. I hope he goes to Man City just to break the Glory hunters' hearts!
Joe. Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 If Rafa offers him good money and the guarantee of first team football, there's a good chance he'd go to Liverpool. I'd love him to go there personally, not least for the reactions of the United fans. He'd be a quality signing fot Liverpool that's for sure.
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 cant see liverpool stumping up the money to buy him. i hate this 'leasure centre' ownership crap.

Tilley Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 First of all, if I had £30 million to spend on either Berbatov or Tevez, it would go on Tevez. Secondly, he should go to Liverpool. As Finners said, Tevez, Gerrard & Torres in the same squad.
Tevez Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Quality player. Was talking with my mate who's a United fan, without asking him he said that he would pick Tevez over Ronaldo all the time. If Liverpool get him it will be a superb buy, especially with the rivalry. Could be another Gabriel Heinze saga, and he'll end up at Real Madrid or something. United probably won't let him go to Liverpool Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Per-lease.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2009 Author Posted 17 May 2009 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Per-lease. I was so close to biting at that remark from Fox Forever but thankfully I didnt.
StanSP Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Per-lease. I was so close to biting at that remark from Fox Forever but thankfully I didnt. it's true. Make whatever you want from it, but there's no reason why I would make that up .
Tevez Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 How is Tevez better than Ronaldo you complete pant sniffer.
