StanSP Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 How is Tevez better than Ronaldo you complete pant sniffer. <_< I didn't say it fool.
TrickyTrev Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 it's true. Make whatever you want from it, but there's no reason why I would make that up . I make from it that your mate is an idiot.
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 I make from it that your mate is an idiot. probably another Man.utd fan from Barrow on Soar
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Sort of like Juan Román Riquelme. Yeah sort of, although i think Riquelme was more ousted from Villarreal. I'm probably wrong though. hukhdsbakj.fhnv, ncocj'lnqwA;SJD Yeah.
Joe. Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Slightly off topic, but why the hell would Liverpool want to offload Xabi Alonso this summer?
Ultra Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 In order to raise the money to buy Gareth Barry. Benitez has said he has to sell before he can buy. So the chances of either Tevez or Villa going to Anfield aren't as high as the hype would suggest.
StanSP Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 You jerk. JERK!!!! Good one Sunil, failed again. Love it.

Finnegan Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 But Barry wouldn't be an improvement on Alonso, I don't get it. This is basically where I stand. For all of Benitez' Spain-love I really don't get how he undervalues Xabi Alonso as much as he does. He's arguablly the best "true" center-midfielder in the league. His ability and his range of passing are generally second to none.
Matt Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 SSN reports he was the only player not to board the coach to go back to Manchester in Rome.

Ultra Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 I think the Champions League final was his last chance, and he didn't take it. He'll be pimped round Italy and Spain in the summer.
StanSP Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 http://msn.football365.com/story/0,17033,8...5353705,00.html Liverpool and Man City agree £25m fee for him.
MarkDeVries Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I think he will end up at Liverpool or Real. Torres & Tevez upfront would be pretty impressive. EDIT: Alonso is better than Barry.

I don't think signing Tevez would be a smart move for Liverpool imo. They've found a system which works with Gerrard just in behind Torres up front on his own. I'm not sure if the stats agree, maybe they don't, but Liverpool looked far less effective with Torres partnered by Keane than with Torres up front alone and Gerrard supporting, for me anyway.
Koke Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 This is one of those stories that annoy the fuck out of me for the entire summer until it is resolved. Ronaldo and Barry saga all over again.

Out of interest, who do you think would be a good partner for Torres IF they do sign a striker in the summer? I think Keane was rather unlucky at Liverpool in the fact that Benitez would always sub him or even when he scored 3 goals in 2 games, he would be on the bench Plus, Benitez claimed he was a 'board' signing. Personally, I would like to see Benitez sign his 'own striker'.
