ob1kanobe0 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Not a bad finish from the lad though Number 7! Akinbadbyi scored some crackers for Wolves.
tontondan Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 maybe all 9 of his goals last season were overhead kicks....that would soon change peoples opinion of him.... For your information Kermorgant was designated this year as the best player in Reims by supporters and scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists = 19 on 40 goals scored by Reims to see what he has done a Reims a compilation of its goals: Paolo-92 taken on the forum of Reims http://www.dailymotion.com/user/Paolo-92/v...ant-story_sport Lorient supporters who know him well (It is nearby city of Vannes) compare to Gignac (french internationnal trained Lorient)

Steven Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Skysports are saying that he has talked to us. Kermorgant claims Foxes talksStriker says Leicester have shown an interest in his services
davieG Posted 14 July 2009 Author Posted 14 July 2009 From Sky Yann Kermorgant has claimed that he has held talks with Leicester City over a possible move. The French striker is currently without a club after his previous contract at Stade de Reims expired at the end of last season. Kermorgant, 27, has been encouraged by discussions with Championship side Leicester but said that other teams are also chasing his signature. He told skysports.com: "Leicester are one of the clubs who want me. I am delighted with the talks so far. "There is also other interest. I am training at the moment with Vannes, to keep fit and ensure I am ready to go." This rumour might have some legs, can't see Sky are likely to lie.
Lillehamring Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 What would be the point of bringing in this French guy? He has no track record, and nine goals last season at second tier level is mediocre. NON! how many goals did our current strikers score last season at second tier level - non(e).... not saying he is worth buying but let's not forget what we are, a newly promoted second tier team... if pearson likes him, that's all i need to know.
DanTheFox07 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Mandaric is obviously been a tight git again, i was afraid of this, i was hoping that he would look at the bigger picture and realise that you need to spend money to get quality in and that any money he spends needs to be looked at as an investment for leicester city. This certainly isnt the case with this guy, second rate striker! looks like he is talking up his chances of a move to us, by going to skysports and telling them he has been in talks with us. Maybe we should concentrate on trying to get campbell off the wage bill if he is on 20,000 a week that is no doubt hindering our chances of signing better strikers? personally I think that we have missed out by not signing cox.
boosmanana Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 You're quite up on the french league and Yann Kermorgant in particular are you then Dan?

Spending money doesn't guarantee success. You've never seen this guy whereas our scouts probably have (if rumours are true). Cox may turn out to be a terrible buy, he isn't proven. If Leicester pay over the odds for players, it just signals to other clubs that we have money to throw about and that will just push prices up for all our targets. NP has shown good judgement so far with not only players he has signed, but ones already at the club (King, Gradel et al).

BoneDog Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 I want Yann the man at Leicester. Why people would moan I don't know. We need strikers and I trust Nige's judgement.
Daggers Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Championnat de France National is the French Third Division. On top of that, if anyone has gone to games in the second division you'll know full well that the bulk of it is shit. The Championnat would be dominated by Rushden & Diamonds. So, two thoughts here - firstly, Morrisson did OK for us and he's from that level. Secondly, if someone can't bury a mass of goals in that league then what the fuck are we doing sniffing around them? I can not see this being a better solution to simply promoting one of our youngsters to the full squad. I'd rather we don't mess about with players rejected by very poor teams.

Babylon Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 He can hit a freekick looking at that. He was captain for Reims quite a bit too.
AjcW Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Just me who thinks he's very Ricky Lambert... with the free kicks and the tidy finishes and the occasional flair goal. And his build.

Fox You Forest Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 He can hit a freekick looking at that.He was captain for Reims quite a bit too. Some very good finishing in that lot, the one just before the overhead is a great goal too.
Joe. Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Looks like this is going to happen then really, unless the quote from the player himself is hopeful more than anything.
DanTheFox07 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 wouldnt think hes tight splashing 1.2 on wellens last week 1.2 million on one player, QPR spent 3.5 million on a midfielder last week, so hardly splashing the cash! we spent nearly 2 million on campbell last time we were in the championship and he is shit! so can`t understand why we didnt buy cox who is a far better prospect at his age. At the end of the day I think you will find the clubs that invest and spend this summer will be in far better shape than us. With our current squad i would say were good enough for top 10 of the championship. Fair enough I agree money doesn`t all buy u success but Im just saying that i think mandaric should look at the bigger picture and realise we have to spend a decent amount of money to get out this divison. Spending a lot of money is a big risk especially if you don`t get promoted, but then the reward if we do go up finicially is huge.
DanTheFox07 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 You're quite up on the french league and Yann Kermorgant in particular are you then Dan? he is french for a start which is bad enough, he plays in an inferior league, there are better options in the market than him. If we sign this guy Show`s how desperate we are to sign a striker in my opinion, would be on a free too as he is out of contract.

It's not like they've got the financial input of Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore or anything.
