DanTheFox07 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Yep, brilliant comparison to make between us and QPR. It's not like they've got the financial input of Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Biatore or anything. yes so, it`s not like mandaric hasnt got any money, besides even though they are owned by billionaires, there still not gonna let magilton go out and buy any old player unless he is an investment.

Daggers Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 1.2 million on one player No we haven't. we spent nearly 2 million on campbell last time we were in the championship No we didn't. I really wish people wouldn't keep using lazy figures as if it were fact.
coale39 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 No we haven't.No we didn't. I really wish people wouldn't keep using lazy figures as if it were fact. Wasnt it more like 750k for wellins and 1.6 for DJ?
Corky Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 he is french for a start which is bad enough Don't want N'Guessan here then?
DanTheFox07 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Wasnt it more like 750k for wellins and 1.6 for DJ? so this kinda of proves me right, dependent on appearences wellens will cost us 1.2 million and ok i was slightly out on campbell but still close enough to 2million No we haven't.No we didn't. I really wish people wouldn't keep using lazy figures as if it were fact. jeez ur a bit pretentious!
sbfox Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 he is french for a start which is bad enough, he plays in an inferior league, there are better options in the market than him. If we sign this guy Show`s how desperate we are to sign a striker in my opinion, would be on a free too as he is out of contract. Better options? Like who exactly? I mean, I know there are literally THOUSANDS of excellent strikers, just desperate to play for City, but do you have any names that spring to mind? I'm guessing you weren't too thrilled by the N'Guessan signing then, considering he's French and was TWO leagues below us?!
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 This has the air of 'scrounging around the freebies on FM2008' all about it! On a serious note, if NP sees Howard leading the attack next season, then surely this guy would be adequate back-up? The longer this transfer window goes on though, the more likely to me that we'll end up just outside the top six imo. Then I'll be thinking, 'if only...'. 'Just push that boat out a little bit more...'. Nothing so far has made my head turn, nothing ground breaking, nothing exciting, nothing thrilling, nothing to make me jump up and down in joy... Just plain nothin'. I'm bored.
BoneDog Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 This has the air of 'scrounging around the freebies on FM2008' all about it! That is the thing I miss on FM2009. On 08 I used to just search Slovakia or Hungary age 16 and under and get a few players to scout. Used to find some gems. Can't do that on the new one for some reason
ob1kanobe0 Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 itv text page 558, Yann told sky sports, "Leicester are one of the clubs who want me. I am delighted with the talks so far".

I have no doubt that what he has said is true, but it probably means we are keeping him and others fairly close and interested whilst we decide which one or two or more we actually really want. We may just be waiting to see if other availabilities or opportunities come along. That goes for all the people we are currently linked with, although I am lead to believe that if we want Sammy Clingan we may need to step that one up, because it is said that Coleman has left the door open for him to go to Cov until the end of today, and he may want to go there if we don't want him.

flanimal Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 Kermorgant is not that tall though, he's about 6' right? Small compared to Howard...
Sly Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 All the video footage I've looked at of this bloke makes him look like a tidy player in all honesty. For a free transfer, I don't see how people could complain if he was utter doggo.
Webbo Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 If we're being realistic and admit that Milan is not going to pump millions into the club to buy players then this is just the sort of player we're likely to sign. Free transfer, his wage demands probably won't be that great (compared to others) and will supply useful competition/back up for Howard.

Absolutely right, and there have been a couple of comments on french forums expressing surprise that a team promoted into their top division hasn't picked him up. Can't be that much of a risk.
flanimal Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 How is Kermo any less good that any lower league player in England? Bring him in, we only really have three strikers (Fryatt, Howard, Dickov), and there hasn't been a good bicycle kick scored by a Leicester player since Izzet! (It seems half of Kermo's goals are goal of the month style scissor kicks!).

Bring him in, we only really have three strikers (Fryatt, Howard, Dickov), and there hasn't been a good bicycle kick scored by a Leicester player since Izzet! (It seems half of Kermo's goals are goal of the month style scissor kicks!). Please, give it a rest. You haven't watched 'Kermo' play, nor have you watched every lower league player. & secondly, you don't sign someone because they scored a fucking bicycle kick. Tit.
flanimal Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 I've watched some of the goals he scored on Daily Motion, they all look rather good. And he's free, so what's the big deal? When it comes down to it, it makes absolutely no difference whether anyone on here says buy him or not, merely saying what we think of him based on what we know.

To illustrate the work of "Kermo" here are 2 of his goals when he played in Grenoble 2 years ago.
flanimal Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 Exactly, the guy has scored some incredible goals - but, until there is a clip uploaded on YouTube showing the ones he missed, or some of the fluffed assists, it's hard to judge him, but based on the goals in the videos, he looks quality. Although, if you cut together a clip of Akinbiyi's goals, he'd look awesome too!
Daggers Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 so this kinda of proves me right, dependent on appearences wellens will cost us 1.2 million and ok i was slightly out on campbell but still close enough to 2million No it doesn't - it proves you totally wrong. You quoted the wrong figures. You were wrong. You aren't a would-be politician by any chance? A mate of Ultra or something?
maddog Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_5433530,00.html Surely we will be his best offer.
Bluefoxtim Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 I played as Reims on Fifa 09... Kermorgant is rated at 69, a couple of rating points higher than Fryatt and Howard
