Babylon Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Can we stop turning every thread into a slanging match!!! I'm bored of having to delete the posts.
Dan Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I think Lita would be a terrific signing for the squad. More accomplished at a higher level than DJ Campbell, who has never done anything over a prolonged period of time in either of the top two leagues. Lita adds pace and predatory instinct and is another one that proves Pearson's international and premier league past is standing the club in good stead in terms of players that will now consider us on loan or to re-establish their careers. Long may it continue.Having said this i'd still like to see a younger version of Howard signed, such as Ricky Lambert or a foreign scouted target man such as Kermorgant. Above all i'd like to see Cleverley back at the club. A fantastic player with good touch and work ethic who clearly has a fondness for the club. Agree with this except the Cleverley part, I do want to see him back at Leicester but if we were only going to make one more signing I would be dissapointed if it was him.
MikeyT Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Can we stop turning every thread into a slanging match!!! I'm bored of having to delete the posts. Agree. No point to it.

I agree but as you say a striker is a priority and NP knows that. I have heard from some one on here that Cleverley is having to do a full pre seson with United before he can go out on loan.

Matt Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Can we stop turning every thread into a slanging match!!! I'm bored of having to delete the posts. Its been like it for ages! You can't have a different opinion to someone else on here without it turning personally and abusive.

I have heard from some one on here that Cleverley is having to do a full pre seson with United before he can go out on loan. Yep. He scored a peno last night. By all accounts he has been really impressive in pre-season and Fergie does want him involved in the long term. What with Hargreaves struggling to gain full fitness, Ferguson wants Cleverley on standby (more than likely to warm the bench). So in terms of us getting him on loan, it will be nearer to Christmas time before we can snap him up.

How dare you, you x ! x @ ! Alot of guys on here, have alot of sexual aggression, they need to go to there local massage parlour or Market Street to relieve themselves OR wait till the season starts and then they can vent there sexual agro on city!!!

markbsac Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 just seen on footymad that hes joining the blunts...says he wants to join a big club.......why join the blunts then !
Babylon Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 just seen on footymad that hes joining the blunts...says he wants to join a big club.......why join the blunts then ! And the person who wrote it was called "bladesmanscottyg".
StanSP Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I think Blades is more likely. Why? We have signed quite a few players who have had interest from bigger clubs than us, including Prem. There's every chance that he'll come to us.
Tilley Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Why?We have signed quite a few players who have had interest from bigger clubs than us, including Prem. There's every chance that he'll come to us. If they did get him, Lita & Evans would be a tasty strike force.
flanimal Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Why?We have signed quite a few players who have had interest from bigger clubs than us, including Prem. There's every chance that he'll come to us. I'm prepared to wrong, I just think he won't come. It hinges on how good his relationship was with Nigel Pearson, because there's no way Leicester can match wages from Premier League or even bigger Championship teams. If we all clubbed to together and hired an assassin to kill DJ Campbell, we'd be alright.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I think Blades is more likely. N'Guessan didn't choose them over us though. If they want to pay him silly money then they can have him. Would love to think he would want to join Leicester to get his career back on track but if he is playing clubs off for the best deal then perhaps he is better off elsewhere. I do not think NP would sign him on that basis anyway.
StanSP Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 If they did get him, Lita & Evans would be a tasty strike force. True.
flanimal Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 N'Guessan didn't choose them over us though. Didn't N'Guessan and Gradel know each other from Auxerre Academy or something, also, being as Lincoln and Leicester are fairly near, could've been deciding factors. I agree with everything you said though, I think Leicester would be the right career move for Lita - but not the right financial move...
Ozwin Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Sheffield United already have a shit load of strikers anyway. I don't think he'd like the competition.
Jimbo Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 As far as things stand now then Lita isn't coming. He wants more money than the club are prepared to offer at the moment. That's the latest I've heard anyway
willchafer Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 im fairly confident we will sign him but it will be late. hes used to big wages and reading dont have them with their parachutes running out and he didnt exactly perform like a striker should do for a top club, i know he fell out but still...
