Guppy Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Wouldn't surprise me if QPR came in and signed him up, especially now they've pulled out of signing DJ, if they were ever interested. They can match any teams wages offer and ideal London location for him.
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 This from the Daily Express... LEROY LITA is at the centre of a tug of war between QPR, promoted Leicester and Crystal Palace.Former England Under-21 striker Lita, 24, is a free agent after leaving Reading last season and has had discussions with all three Championship clubs. Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate is also weighing up a move. We should be able to out-compete QPR and Palace. As for Middlesbrough, I'd say they've got less chance of making any sort of challenge than we have. They will be out-fought in most games this season. If we put the money up, we will get him. Pay the wages MM. Simple as.
Dan Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 As far as things stand now then Lita isn't coming. He wants more money than the club are prepared to offer at the moment. That's the latest I've heard anyway I think it sounds more like he is, seeing as Pearson isn't denying any link with him at all etc. I don't know really, it just seems like a deal that is meant to happen, as we need a fast forward and he is a free agent and does the job. Wouldn't surprise me if QPR came in and signed him up, especially now they've pulled out of signing DJ, if they were ever interested. They can match any teams wages offer and ideal London location for him. That would without doubt be the pisstake of this summer.
Daveaway Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 WOW. Hang on a minute. I can't quite take in what I am hearing, all this talk about bigger clubs etc. I don't think Sheff Utd are any bigger than us. So why would he not come. I bet that MM can match the wages or even pay more than Sheff Utd. There fan base is no bigger than ours, their ground hold less. So does this mean they are a bigger club. NO ok they have been in a higher lge than us for a season. So all this about him not wanting to come to us. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO BRAMALL SAY NO MORE! But we do need a striker in fast.

Pay the wages MM. Simple as. QPR can more than match us as they have very rich owners. But palace however we could match. I would rather he came here because of pearson and leicester city, than because of cash, of course we'll have to pay him a decent wage, but pearson said he wants players that want to play for City.

maddog Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 This is turning into the new Cox saga. Lets just fooking sign him today or declare ourselves out of signing him today or this could drag on
Collymore Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Palace fans thought he was having a medical with us last week! http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=89348
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 We are bigger than Palace and QPR, while probably equal to United and Middlesbro. I think we have got every chance of getting him especially when NP knew him from their England days, and that can only work in our favour.

You cant seriously think at the moment that we can compete with QPR... They have owners who will offer anything, not just money, cars, women, boats, seriously they were interviewing one of their players last year on ssn and he was saying how its like being part of an F1 team with all the glamour, I mean look what they have done to the stadium giving it a face lift and getting good sponsorship. Now to alot of players this wouldnt be that much of an attraction but lets face it litas a bit of a football playboy, he would love all that. Oh and they are in london!

Jon the Hat Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Against the Blades we have chance, as who wants to live in Sheffield? With QPR and Palace in the game, no chance. Zero.
Dr The Singh Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Against the Blades we have chance, as who wants to live in Sheffield? With QPR and Palace in the game, no chance. Zero. I think were at the bottom, we've only been promoted and hence are a unknown quantity. The only thing which will sway Lita towards us is ££££££ and maybe pooon!!

dandannieldanok Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Against the Blades we have chance, as who wants to live in Sheffield? With QPR and Palace in the game, no chance. Zero. And why is living in Leicester better than living in Sheffield?
Dr The Singh Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 We lose on both of those fronts too. I think a good looking man like you maybe able to sway him to city......if only you lived in Leicester, Jon
AjcW Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 I think a good looking man like you maybe able to sway him to city......if only you lived in Leicester, Jon We could send him a little Michael Owen style brochure..."Leicesters Clunge" or something along those lines.... the leicester lads seem to get some seriously fit girlfriends, take wesos gf, saw him in town with her the other day(hellllo)....

AjcW Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Good idea, make sure you put a pic of Jon in there aswell!! He's on the cover mate.
Finchy Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 We need to make sure he doesn't see any of Craig Adams' videos either!
Jon the Hat Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 And why is living in Leicester better than living in Sheffield? One could easily live in North London and commute.
MPH Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Palace fans thought he was having a medical with us last week!http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=89348 if you read that thread a bit they admit they were broke and discuss about geting rid of kugi on his 13k a week wages because they were too much. i would say its between us, sheff utd and QPR
escos Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 if you read that thread a bit they admit they were broke and discuss about geting rid of kugi on his 13k a week wages because they were too much.i would say its between us, sheff utd and QPR QPR have just signed an italian striker and the fans seem to think they will not sign another one (striker that is not italian)
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 I don't believe he will come here. He is a guy who appears to enjoy the glamour of big cities, and Leicester can't compete with London. He will want mega bucks, and we can't offer him that, not with D.J. hanging around like a luxurious ball and chain. Just don't think he would come anyway. Q.P.R. most likely
