After back to back defeats at the start of the season with Leicester, i've just about managed to turn it around.

Swansea (H) L 3-2

Ipswich (A) L 3-0

Sheff Utd (A) W 2-1

Barnsley (H) W 3-1

Newcastle (A) D 1-1

Blackpool (H) W 5-2

P'boro (H) W 4-2

Leaves me 3rd in the league. As you can see I seem to leak in a few goals, so does anyone use any specific tactics to stop this? Cheers.

My zavvi order came sat. :whistle:

To be fair I ordered it wednesday the day before the strike. But the fact they have only just despatched it pisses me off.

Mine got dispatched from Zavvi last Wednesday. I, like you am disapointed too. They could have used a different service ffs, especially on games when people are blatantly going to want it on day of release.

Ugh.

Never using them again, I wish I'd spent an extra tenner elsewhere now.

How did you get rid of DJ and Howard? I literally couldn't give them away on the demo.

I am playing as Cologne at the moment. I like the Bundesliga as there are lots of clubs with big fan bases who you could potentially make into European power houses if you put the time in. I'm sitting in 9th at the winter break, its all very tight and a good run could put me in the Europa but a bad run in a relegation fight. Need to get a keeper in January as Mondragon is getting worse every week.

I got an attacking midfield player from Dynamo Zagreb, think his name is Milan Badelj, 18 or 19 years old and absolutely sensational.

Has anyone played the PSP version? Is it any good? The last ones were a bit limited...

It's better this year obviously, mainly because of the new Board Confidence system which is like FM's.

In what way do you think it's limited?

1. Copy the file to the Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\editor data folder in your My Documents folder.

2. Load FM2010

3. Select ‘Preferences’ and go to the ‘Display/Sound’ tab. UNTICK use skin cache. TICK ‘Always Reload Skin on Confirm’

4. When completed, leave preferences and ‘Start A New Game’

5. In the dialog window that pops up, TICK the change box.

6. Select the file in the list, if not already.

7. Start a new game as normal, selecting the lowest level that you want to have active.

If you have any issues, make sure you've read the FAQ thread.

When starting a new game, it's recommended you tick 'Add key staff'. That way the players generated in the bottom tiers will be a mixture of ages, rather than all being 16 or so

The Short Version

Manage any club from the top 10 levels in England. The initial release version adds:

-39 new league competitions

-75 new real-life England-based cup competitions, including the FA Vase.

-A revamped FA Cup, to include 6 qualifying rounds (which aren’t named correctly by the game… yet)

-207 new stadiums

-135 new cities

-879 new clubs (includes some already in the game, but with no nation set, some purely historical, and others not in playable divisions)

Haven't played it for ages but I think I had FM 08 on the PSP and it just seemed to lack a lot of the options and complexity that the full PC version had. Obviously to some extent that's inevitable given that you're playing it on a portable device.

I found him and I'm mulling over a deal for him. My brother said look at some fella in Dinamo's squad who in reality has scored something like 400 youth goals over 7 years.

Has anyone played the PSP version? Is it any good? The last ones were a bit limited...

It's alright. I thought the detail of the last one took a knock because it tried to put in more leagues. It's pretty much similar than last.

Well this is a bit daft.

Ive gone to play on it today, put the disc in cus I didnt install it on Steam, and it doesnt load the game up.

Checked and theres ne desktop icons anywhere for it.

That happened to me, I just did it all through Steam in the end using the code on the back of the manual.

Mine arrived about half an hour ago. But I'm supposed to be writing an essay for a seminar on Thursday and preparing a Moot for a seminar on Friday. I'm in trouble.

transfer listed them both, not needed by club, offered to all clubs. Offered a mutual termination to Dj :D

He fooked off to Huddersfield and Steve went to M'boro for 140k :D

Just got rid of Clemence, well, when I get to January I will.
