Matt Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 You lot must really hate your team to be applauding an opposition player but none of your own players. Like our lot when Hume came back?
RedHux Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Mckenna was the signing that's made the most difference. Raddy's good but comes and goes but more importantly it's good having two creative, attack minded midfielder's for once. I think the main difference this year is we can adapt and fit pretty much any style BD wants us to play. For years now we've had 11 first choice players and a bunch of kids. Now we have a big and versatile squad with pace and power. It's a very odd feeling but I quite like it.
tartanowl Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 You lot must really hate your team to be applauding an opposition player but none of your own players. We don't hate the team but there's something seriously not right on the pitch at Hillsborough at the moment. We're in free-fall. West Brom won 4-0 and were barely trying. Next to none of our players turned up on Saturday and it's becoming a regular and very worrying occurrence. We have so many players out of form and bereft of confidence. It's affecting the fans too. It's a massive couple of games coming up. We need to win at least one. I live in Essex but it doesn't mean I like gangland murders and chlamydia.
RedHux Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 do you think it's because of the players or manager or behind the scenes financial constraints that may indicate that you're happy we're you are thank you very much?

I said it somewhere else as well, but Billy Davies' current Forest team is miles better and much more watch-able than the Billy Davies' Derby side of 06/07. Derby literally hoooooofed themselves to the topflight with Steve Howard being their focal point. Forest now is a better footballing side and have better individual players than Derby of 2/3 years ago. And Billy seem to have thrown his conservative route-one ways out of the window and has adopted a much better style. Can't say much else but to admire the bloke tbh. Very good manager and he knows what he's doing.

Off the pitch we're as good as we've been in well over a decade. We have a positive young chairman and the improvements that have been made are fantastic. A far cry from the fan suing exploits of the last lot. On the pitch is the problem. The players are not playing after starting well and Laws' signings this summer have been questionable. We can turn it round though I believe we're in a false position. There's a poll on our forum at the moment and 57% out of nearly 900 voters want Laws gone. I'm not quite there yet but I'm close to agreeing with them.

Fox92 Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 Yes I support Leicester and want them to finish above Forest every season but I do like Nottingham Forest (apart from on Saturday). I have a soft spot for Liverpool, West Ham and Nottingham Forest and what is wrong with that? Like our lot when Hume came back? Apart from me, I dislike Hume

Apart from me, I dislike Hume They're one of our biggest fucking rivals . And how come you dislike Hume?? I'm not saying it's a crime to dislike him, just wondering.
Fox92 Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 They're one of our biggest fooking rivals .And how come you dislike Hume?? I'm not saying it's a crime to dislike him, just wondering. I know And, Hume left when we were relegated. Same as I dislike McAuley and Stearman.

CosbehFox Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 Agree with all of that. I'm a big Davies fan. Top manager at this level. I think he's an egomaniac tosspot. Every time a result goes against him 'they were physical. Dirty.'
The Doctor Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 I think he's an egomaniac tosspot. Every time a result goes against him 'they were physical. Dirty.' aah. the good old arsene whinger excuse.
RedHux Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 I think he's an egomaniac tosspot. Every time a result goes against him 'they were physical. Dirty.' Oh god yea. He's at least 33% insane. In interviews he often refers to himself in the third person. "Billy Davies knew the writing was on the wall for Billy Davies at Direby." He's mental but he does know how to get results.
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Derby 1-0 WBA Dickov there's only one Dickov has scored! Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Reading
lildave3 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Derby 1-0 WBA Dickov there's only one Dickov has scored! Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Reading You are an absolute goon.
tartanowl Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 We are sinking faster than the Titanic. I hope we have a new manager in place by the time we play you at the Walkers. Reading are terrible and they could have won 3 or 4. There is nothing in our team at the moment. No leadership, no fight, no belief, no quality, no threat. The players don't seem to care and the changes at the club have clearly upset some. Laws has lost the dressing room. He needs to go now.

lou Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Can you carry on your form next weekend please? Werent they in that sort of form when we played them at home 2 seasons ago? Best of luck to the Wednesday though, one of the teams I have a soft spot for.
Corky Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Scunthorpe 1-0 Coventry. Coventry now 20th in the table.
davieG Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 S****horpe 1 - 0 Cov who couldn't score with Best, Eastwood & Morrison up front.
Corky Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 S****horpe 1 - 0 Cov who couldn't score with Best, Eastwood & Morrison up front. They missed some glorious chances today, appalling finishing, especially from Best and some youngster they brought on.
C-man Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Delighted Cov lost. Terrified by Wednesday's form. They'll be battered by Donny on Tuesday, come down here and turn their season around.

I am actually scared for the game on Saturday, although we are playing on tuesday first.
Guest Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Coventry now 20th in the table. You see, despite getting hammered by the trees and the sheep bagging a draw via our loanees, there is some good to come out of this weekend
