Matt Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Although that was the best result for us i'm abit gutted tbh, I had Brum/Man City Draw, Cardiff to win, Sheff Utd to win tomorrow, So I was almost there no so sure Sheff Utd would win tomorrow, but atleast my bet would still be alive if Cardiff held on.

Sorry Matt, if i knew that i wouldn't have celebrated their goal as much. And i am being serious BTW!
Corky Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 The result I wanted, Cardiff not out of reach and Forest not too close either. Just need Sheff Utd to win or draw tomorrow.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Great goal by local boy Lewis McGugan as well. Cracking strike and a deserved point which I'm glad they got, for our sake and for their sake because I like to see teams get what they deserve.
MC Prussian Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Couldn't have wished for a better result. Never thought I'd cheer a Forest goal that much. But hey - happy chaps we all are (for) now!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 Very good result now i hope the blades win.
maddog Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 Sheffield United have lost 3 in a row, and are seriously struggling. They were a side seriously considered for promotion, and even we were scared of them when we were playing them, but now their on an awful run and only have 5 points in their previous 8 matches. Now it's us who are the serious promotion contenders, and them languishing in 15th place, they can't make the top half even if they win tonight. Surely Kevin Blackwells days are numbered, they need to get some results quickly, lets hope they win tonight
maddog Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 So, Newcastle top with 30 pts. And they play P'Boro home, Preston away and Swansea home in their next 3 games so expect 2 more wins at least. We really need them to fook it up.
C-man Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 And they play P'Boro home, Preston away and Swansea home in their next 3 games so expect 2 more wins at least. We really need them to fook it up. Why do we? There is another automatic promotion spot and four play-off spots to contend for, even if Newcastle do go on to storm the league. Besides, there have only been 15 games. I don't really see the point in taking too much notice of other team's results until at least March. If we were to fall away badly then a Peterborough win at St. James' may be a disastrous result for us come May!

And quite conceivably we could get two wins from three as well. We're in better form than Newcastle right now, this league is tight, I don't think anyone will run away with it.
Milky Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 QPR thought they had two home bankers and end up with just a point This game can really bite you in the arse.
maddog Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 Another cracking result for us tonight with QPR drawing to Palace. Everything seems to be going great for us, lets win Saturday now.
Monk Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Was just thinking the same myself, it wouldn't have been awful for QPR to win, but we're not far off being 4 points clear of 7th place.

Surely Kevin Blackwells days are numbered, they need to get some results quickly, lets hope they win tonight I said on here at the beginning of the season they would struggle. Too many loanees, a massive cut in their wage budget (which is about to be cut again next season) so a smaller squad, a distinct lack of midfielders with football ability, no Beattie to score their goals. Mid-table team this year and next season they may even be looking further down. They are in financial soapy bubble and last years playoff defeat really affected them. It was well and truly shit or bust and the Blunts failed. Shame.
StanSP Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 I have to say, this game tonight is woeful. What did you expect ?
Matt Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 I have to say, this game tonight is woeful. It is awful. Chin up Paul. And that is why I want the twat out of our club for good. Funny when he is doing it for Derby though but bloody hell I cringed at that.
