Last night was a farce.

Simon has made a big hoo-har about how s*** those two jokers were all series then votes for it to go to deadlock? She can actually sing and it's embaressing that those two fools can carry on. think Simon was probably worried they would loose viewing figures if they went out because I'm sure a lot of people (including me) tuned in to laugh at them.

Exactly.

I think Simon may have been saving his own act by keeping Jedward in as well as losing viewing figures. THink he knows that they'll get voted out sooner or later before his acts anyway.

Possibly. shows how flawed the programme is though. It's supposed to be about talent and they lack it big time?

They murdered that Robbie song, and the Britney Spears performance sticks out to be very embaressing!!

Yeah it's gone downhill since the start I agree. There's some talent there - but not as much as previous shows.

Half of that Robbie song last night had backing vocals as well :|.

Basically any of their performances >_<

For crying out loud, shut up about the fooking Beatles!

No

Bad day at the office for Fox92.

lol You can say that again

It's all about headlines... those jokers were splashed all over the tabloids for the last fortnight, you can't buy publicity like that. He knows there are no stars this year, they will vanish into the ether along with Thingy Brookstein and Leon what's his face.

He knew exactly how many votes had been cast, his choice means they can blame the 12 year old girls who actually vote for this tripe.

They fix the voting.

I don't know how they get away with it.

They get away with it easy. It's Simons show, the man has alot of clout and can do what he wants on his show. Independent adjudicator my arse.

Anyone who thinks Simon allows the public to pick his artists must be a bit of a loon, unlike me :D

Gutted about the bottom two this week even though I'm not a fan of pop music. I wanted John Edward and Lucie in the final and Lucie to win.

What a farce.

Two weeks in a row. People with even an ounce of talent going out over dross. Pathetic.

I think Simon just enjoys causing simultaneous high blood pressure around the country on a Sunday night for a few million people.

Plus, they don't write their own music so whats the point in being a 'star' if you don't write your own music.

I await stick...

I agree. There are probably a million UK karaoke singers who are as good or better than 99% of X-Factor singers. But there are not too many folk who can write good songs and perform aswell.

Unfortunatley in the pop world you just have to look a certain way and the rest is insignificant as someone else writes your songs and the studio makes your voice sound better than it is.

On a side note for anyone wishing to make it as a star : Another good way to the top of the TV or pop music tree is to let certain people bum you silly. That works in the murky deceitful world of showbiz :D

It never worked for me.

*cough* Leona Lewis *cough*

Before I start, until the end of the last series I never watched the X Factor, I hated it, but for some reason I ended up watching it at the end of last series and thought i'd give the whole series a chance this time, I do find in interesting though, I can't say I really agree with it, I hate manufactured pop but it is quite a easy, laughable watch, I stand by my thoughts though that if you are good enough, You don't need reality TV, You don't need the X Factor.

And I don't like them but just to take the piss out of the whole programme i'm tempted to support John and Edward to win now. If they win they will obviously release an album, and then I am quite confident we will hear and have to put up with them for a month or so and then you will never hear of them again anyway....I hope

I actually hate the beatles.

Blah blah blah.

The Beatles:

. 27 number ones.

. The greatest singer-songwriter partneship of all time.

How many songs has Leona Lewis wrote? None.

All her songs sound the same, and most of her 'songs' are covers.

But, you can have your opinions.

Bleeding Love, Better in Time and Happy do NOT sound the same at all.

Why songs in inverted commas? Whether it's a cover, a song is a song.

Run was awesome.

Her songs sound the same because they are produced by the quite brilliant Ryan Tedder of One Republic. So what if they sound the same. They sound bloody good.

Give it time... her record by the end of her career will probably have overtaken them anyway.

They may have been able to write their own songs but to be quite frank, most of the people who are at the top these days don't write their own songs so by your reckoning, there isn't much talent around these days. I'm pretty sure you'd be slagging off some of the worlds biggest and best selling artists too...
