dogadug Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Despite DJ's "heroics" in the reserves, you've just gotta accept that its highly unlikely he's gonna get a sniff of first team action any time soon. If NP decides to break the Howard/Fryatt partnership then lets face it, it's gonna be Kermo/Gallagher/Waghorn who will be given a chance.I'm not exactly keen to see DJ return to the side BUT the good of the team and results is more important than individuals. If he carries on knocking them in the reserve matches, and Nige decides he deserves another crack, then of course i'd get behind him. Same here
The Doctor Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 It's Dj time actually its 25 minutes to 1 pm

If he breaks into the team somehow and bangs in 20 goals nobody will even care about what he said before. Next August threads will be saying "Shame we had to sell our top goalscorer, I suppose he did slag us off in the past though..." Or, more likely, he still won't actually get a game for us but he will continue banging them in at reserve level all season or leave in January. If he is playing well (i havn't actually seen or read about the reserves ) and continues to do so it would be silly to leave him out. Nobody plays well for the reserves unless they want to play for you. Not to mention since he's still getting paid we may as well use him.
maddog Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I really hope he makes the bench Saturday now, just incase we fail miserably infront of goal again.

So the message say what you like, do what you like, be a negative influence on the team - all fine as long as you score?
Filbert_Ross Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 not what i heard.... i was pretty drunk last night, so maybe I did play at some point

More or less agree with this, don't think he is likely to get back in the side but I wouldn't complain if he does, if Pearson decides to give him a chance and he maintains his form then he is better off in and around the squad than he is getting paid for nothing.
Edmund Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Its inevitable DJ will not get a look in even if he scores ten goals. Do you think Pearson is going to pick him ahead of Gallagher a player he spent a bit of wedge on. Shame cause he obviously still has something to prove also following a good spell at Blacpool. As for Tunchev I hope he gets back to his best because since his injury we have not seen the Tunch back up and running properly from last season. NP must have some headaches with team selection.
Jimmy Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 D. J. is trying to impress visiting scouts to get a move, KIA has already said his attitude is still terrible, so he can continue to score for the ressies to earn us some money in jan or a loan move before then
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Hope Clem gets fit soon, as I think if he doesnt he will neverplay again for us. Tunch playing is the best news though.
Guest Posted 10 September 2009 Posted 10 September 2009 So any clue on who the trialist was? So far we've narrowed it down to one of the following, My Son went out with his football kit last night Lou's son, i was pretty drunk last night, so maybe I did play at some point Filbert Ross, or anyone else........ hmmmm.... this is a case for
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2009 Posted 10 September 2009 Good win there again for Gerry and the reserves. Not sure who the trailist was, but obviousley Campbell is scoring for fun although Nigel still doesn't want to play him. The trailist? Woo its like playing cluedo!
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 So any clue on who the trialist was? My son's mate's Mum's stepbrother's great cousin's brother's wife's milkman who once looked at Leicester on Google Earth reckons it was Fernando Torres. You heard it here first

Simo86 Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 It can't be Torres, the trialist was a centre backI can exclusively reveal, it was John Terry I can infact reveal the trialist was..................Gerry Taggart. I heard he was just after a kick about and as he's the manager no one was going to argue with him.
Thracian Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 Either that or he`s putting himself in the shop window..I still think he`s a twat. He might be a lot of things but he should still be in our squad if not in our team. But don't expect Pearson to change his outlook.
