Uncle Monty Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Without Wellens we'll get over run. Im going 2-1 them. Ross Wallace is going to have Neilson's kilt down. Hahahahaha
The Doctor Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 MaddogFantastically optimistic post, really cheered me up Looks pretty unlikely that Wellens will be fit, which for me is a bit of a dilemma as I would like to see us continue with the 3 man midfield that was so effective against Watford in the first half. Talking of fitness, I have no idea if the Tunch is ready for 90 minutes but we need him to play, desperately! Not least because Hobbs is a 100% better player when he does. I thought Gallagher had a decent first half on saturday but could do with playing a little further forward and closer to Fryatt. We could do with some pace upfront too, so N'Guessan would make up my front 3. Will not happen though, in Wellens absence NP will revert to our to our tried and tested (and failed?) 4-4-2. Without Wellens we are screwed. Cant see anything other than a loss.... no Wellens and a very good side who we have a crap record against. I'll be happy if we draw i fear the worst without wellens, and like maddogs pointed out they're not exactly our favourite team to play! would like to think we can come away with a hard earned draw though no wellens no win draw written all over it 1-1 Without Wellens we'll get over run. Im going 2-1 them. Ross Wallace is going to have Neilson's kilt down. Anyone mind telling me whats happened to wellens?
MPH Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 we might not have Wellens but im not worried. Gallagher seems to be able to link up the mids and the stikers well sitting in that hole, it would also mean we can bring in king who could sit in front of the defence allowing more freedom for Oakley to get forward. im going for 2-0 to us. King Belter from the edge of the area followed by a fryatt tap in after some hip shaking in the box.
marbelladave Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Anyone mind telling me whats happened to wellens? Hamstring, likely to be out for a couple of weeks. Do try and keep up!
Bert Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Anyone mind telling me whats happened to wellens? He got bummed by Nathan Ellington in the changing rooms at half time at Vicarage road, and with the size of Ellingtons schlong it's caused Wellens a hamstring injury.
Maybes Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Without Wellens we'll get over run. Im going 2-1 them. Ross Wallace is going to have Neilson's kilt down.
Koke Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Bollocks to that. I got faith in our Andrew to step up to the place.
Scow Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Bollocks to that. I got faith in our Andrew to step up to the place. Pearson may even put Berner into midfield and play McGivern at left back. I've never really been convinced by a King/Oakley central midfield pairing.
Bert Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Pearson may even put Berner into midfield and play McGivern at left back. I've never really been convinced by a King/Oakley central midfield pairing. That my friend, is a cracking shout.
Thracian Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Pearson may even put Berner into midfield and play McGivern at left back. I've never really been convinced by a King/Oakley central midfield pairing. I hope he does. Just to show how fecked-up a manager's thinking can be.
Corky Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 I'm optimistic for this one. 1-0- Howard to open his account for the campaign.
StanSP Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Fryatt to bag again. Howard hopefully score too.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Anyone heard of J J Linington? He is the ref tomorrow, hope he is better than the last couple we have had.
carterfox90 Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 they have won the last 3 games at our place time for a change .................a draw for me 0-0
Ozwin Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 Preston are such a bogey, nobody team who'll take points off us yet lose in the playoffs for the gazillionth time.
maddog Posted 26 September 2009 Author Posted 26 September 2009 Lowest optimeter votes this season. Could it result in our first home loss for over a year
Tilley Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 Weale Neilson Hobbs Tunchev BernerN'Guessen Oakley King DyerGallagher Fryatt 2-1 win.
Legend_in_blue Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 I'm concerned for this one. We'll struggle in midfield without Wellens. Preston are such a nobody team and we never beat them. We need a decision to go our way if we're to win it imo. A penalty, red card, offside not given, something like that. Who's the referee?
Guest Bilo Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 Dull as ditchwater game with draw written all over it. 4-4.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 GK. Weale RB. Neilson CB. Hobbs CB. Tunchev LB. McGivern CM. Oakley CM. King CM. Berner ST. Gallagher ST. Howard ST. Fryatt 3-1 To The Foxes Gallagher x2 Howard
lou Posted 26 September 2009 Posted 26 September 2009 I'm going to this one - we're bound to win. YAY! So if we dont........... we can all blame you then?
