Preferrably along the lines of I'm not going to play for Leicester City. I'm too old, too slow, lack match practice and fitness and should've never had my agent agree to talks with the Leicester chairman, Mr. Milan Mandaric. It was all just a publicity stunt. I shall retire for good and take care of my charity work and my own family.

'If we don't hear anything from Davids in the next 24 hours (by Wednesday) then the deal's off. MM must have said this yesterday and yet the story broke today. Therefore, assuming everything is being quoted a day later than it happens, I expect something to happen tomorrow. If it doesn't happen tomorrow though, forget it. This supposed delay in timing has the planning of MM all over it though imo.
