If you have the ability then age doesn't matter, Sheringham, Speed, Windass, Giggs, Maldini, Costacurta, Canavarro, Romario, Sylinvinho etc etc. As modern training regimes improve the lifespan of a professional footballer will as well. At 36 your not old, your experienced and seasoned. Fitness can be regained, ability can't be lost. I can see why people are concerned this move could have a negative impact but the ying to the yang of this is it could also have a positive effect. Not ever player signing goes down as bad as when Kevin Keegan signed Faustino Asprilla!! If you were a younger player and in January were offered a contract from various clubs, one being Leicester with Edgar Davids at the club, that may just be enough to sway the decision in our favour.
