davieG Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 From Donny OS Doncaster Rovers and Leicester City have now provisionally agreed a date for the rearranged Coca-Cola Championship fixture at Keepmoat Stadium. Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium playing surface was judged to be unsafe for players, following an early morning pitch inspection ahead of the original fixture on Monday 28th December 2009. Rovers will host Leicester City on Tuesday 19th January 2010, provided that Doncaster's rearranged FA Cup Third Round tie against Brentford on Tuesday 12th January, does not require a replay. Doncaster Rovers Football Club would like to emphasise that this date is not set in stone - and is completely dependant on the outcome of the FA Cup clash against The Bees. If Rovers progress or are knocked out of the FA Cup against Brentford, Rovers will play Leicester City on Tuesday 19th January.
Fox92 Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Good, can make that one. Just hope they beat or loose to Brentford in normal time. Nothing about Cardiff still then? I would have thought that would have come before Doncaster.
CosbehFox Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 If the weather continues, it will be off again.

Hitesh Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 If we don't play them on the 19th we could face two fixtures close by as we play them at home on the 9th Feb. Also, if we play Cardiff in the cup and then we potentially play then 3 times in a very short space of time! Bring on the congestion...

Makes up for us missing the worst of the X mas fixture congestion.
Katy Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 For fox sake! I hate this bastard weather, why are rearranged games always on bastard Tuesdays? Still bloody going though....
Matt Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 For fox sake! I hate this bastard weather, why are rearranged games always on bastard Tuesdays? Still bloody going though.... I'm not sure when the international weekends are in the near future - If any? But we haven't got many international players what 2, 3? At most? I guess Cardiff and Doncaster haven't got many international players so how about we play the games on international weekends? I'd be more than happy I find International weekends with no club football boring, especially friendly international weekends.

We don't have International games until 2nd March, which coincidently is my birthday. The U21's are playing on that week, and England are playing Egypt on the 3rd March.

With a valid ticket from before and £3.10 train from Sheffield i'll still be there but the post match Spearmint Rhino's trip is dead as is anyones hopes of staying over <_< I feel your pain, I have lectures until 5pm on Tuesdays next semester for a few weeks. I already missing them for Barnsley and Bristol City and now this. I'm not impressed and neither will my lecturer be!
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 If the coach leaves at 3:30pm like the Barnsley coach, then i'll be fine, with my classes finishing at 3pm. Hope the weather improves though, surely they can't get it on if it carries on being this cold
Tommeh Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Gash. Probably won't be back in Sheffield by then. Ben Stapleford likes this.
Sir Fynwy Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 If it's the 19th my ticket will be going back, I'll be on the beach in Tel Aviv.

Bluefoxtim Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Arghhh... I have my final exam on the Wednesday........although it's in the afternoon. What do we reckon? I'm rooting for an FA cup draw then?

I can think of about 7 off the top of my head who will be called up from Cardiff so you can forget that.

Ok fair enough, but where possible rearranged games should be on international weekends, I'm a big believer of there should be a full set of club fixtures during international weekends anyway. I suppose Pearson/The club/Other LCFC fans might have other opinions to me but i'd be willing to risk playing without King, McGivern (Oh yes please!) and anyone else who is called up (Unless the whole team were to be called up to their respective nations which isn't go to happen) in order to get a rearranged match on a Saturday, Obviously if Cardiff have 7 players out on international duty then that is OTT and the game cannot go ahead - On the other hand maybe that could be their forfeit for not getting the game on in the first place, Cunts.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Doncaster-Brentford is nailed on to be a draw now, you just know it.
