maddog Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 4-2 defeat, always in the last minute nightmare.
dandannieldanok Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Sounded like a half-decent performance aswell which all the more disappointing.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I cant believe that just happened. Why didnt NP make more changes? Dyer for one could have been brought on for his pace, Howard for Kermo. So disappointed. You watch them get an awesome draw now.
Tilley Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 2-1 up with 19 minutes left and for it end 4-2 is appalling. At any level that is unacceptable. I'm not bothered, like, because don't care about the cup. Would much rather have three points when we go back there.
samuel Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Genuinely gutted. This was our year. How on Earth would you have come to that conclusion after watching Leicester this season?
Corky Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Disappointed, felt we had a real chance to do something in this competition.
Jonezy Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Well, at least we can't get another crap draw in the 5th round... Leaking defense is worrying, but I'm sure Nigel is annoyed too. Hopefully, we'll get them back in the league game.
lcfc_jme Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Devastated. We were supposed to have the FA Cup in the bag this year as well. I HATE stoppage time.
C-man Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Didn't check the score until 16.50. At 2-2 I couldn't wait for the replay. Absolutely devastated.
MC Prussian Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 ... Lost for words. How can you throw away a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to go? Oh wait, it's Leicester City FC.
Edmund Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Oh well at least we can concentrate on the league now. Seems that we switched off at the end. That last goal makes the score look a lot worst but from what I heard it doesn't bare any resemblance to the performance.
Fosse Boy Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 How on Earth would you have come to that conclusion after watching Leicester this season? It's The Cup, form goes out of the window. And it's not like we're playing absolutely toss this season is it? Disappointed, felt we had a real chance to do something in this competition.
C-man Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Well, at least we can't get another crap draw in the 5th round...Leaking defense is worrying, but I'm sure Nigel is annoyed too. Hopefully, we'll get them back in the league game. If you get a 'crap' draw in the 5th round of the FA Cup then it is your year to go on a run.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I actually feel awful. Speechless. NP needs to sort this defensive mess out.
Salieri Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Didn't think we played that badly, 4-2 flattered them. The reaction from some on here is laughable. Gutted we're not in the hat for tomorrows draw.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Gutted. 20 minutes to go and we do a Leicester... and on my birthday... what a pisser. Oh well, focus on the league now then...
Salieri Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 ...Lost for words. How can you throw away a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to go? Oh wait, it's Leicester City FC. What?! If we were 4-1 up with 20 minutes to go then i'd get your point. Cardiff aren't a bad side and we gave them a run for their money today.
samuel Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 It's The Cup, form goes out of the window. And it's not like we're playing absolutely toss this season is it? Yes maybe for a Non-league club playing a bigger club, the occasion draws a spirit. Not for 2 teams that are pretty equal in terms of position. Professional footballers can either perform for 90 mins or they can't,
Jonezy Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 If you get a 'crap' draw in the 5th round of the FA Cup then it is your year to go on a run. We would have got Fulham or Bolton for sure..., The FA Cup hates Leicester...
Anish Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Typical Leicester collapse, you half expected it. Didn't want a replay but I think the manner of the defeat could dent the players' confidence for the next game. We're already in poor form as it is so to lose in the way we did could derail our league chances too.
Mort Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Lost for words. How can you throw away a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to go? Not exactly unheard of is it? Granted we outdid ourselves by going from 2-1 up to losing 2-4, but still.
