maddog Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Big game, 3 points needed, please. 1-1 though i rekon, heaping the pressure on the boys to win at P'Boro next week.
Mee Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 I can see a good win in this game. Maybe a 'bounce back' game, 3-0 city i go. Please say i am correct
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 1-1 Similar game to that Colchester at home game 2007-08 when we needed a win and went 1-0 down before Hume equalised in the last min. Just think the pressure will get to all of them.
shen Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 I believe the players and NP can pull it off. It won't be pretty, it won't be convincing, but it'll be a win.
MC Prussian Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Yeah, 1-0. A desperately sought-after win. Vaughan to take us out of the slump with a 94th minute winner. Either that or we thrash them 14-0 and achieve a new club record, if only to get all this un-scoring record of lately off the chest(s).
Guest Bilo Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Four straight defeats and a play-off spot that looked all but certain only a fortnight ago will be relinquished if Blackpool better our result on Monday. Confidence is low and the players look tired, and the pressure will be well and truly on. That said, Blackpool have a tougher game than us on Monday at home to Doncaster, followed by a trip to St. James to champions elect Newcastle. Win this and get something from our trip to Peterborough on the 10th and we could well pull ourselves out of the shit. How ironic that we're playing the same team we did when we first looked serious play-off contenders. Since that October evening, QPR seem to have backtracked massively with a succession of managers trying to justify their owner's huge investment. Warnock has been more successful than most and managed to earn them a 3-1 win over the WBA side that beat us 3-0 tonight. This team have the capability to cause us damage when on form and our lack of confidence could present them with the chance to do just that. They've drawn a lot lately and may do the same again. 1-1 with Waghorn for us and Priskin for them. It is, sadly, squeaky bum time.
Narborough_fox Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Hoping for a comfortable win but a sneaky 1-0 would do me fine. Hobbs for me.
Donut Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 This is one HELL of a game. QPR- Not a great deal left to play for this season but have some very talented players and seem to have steadied the ship under Mrs Doubtfire (aka Warnock). Spearheaded by An attacking trio of Jay Simpson, Adel Taarabt and Akos Buszaky, they do pose a threat and certainly possess pace. They also have the impressive Argentine Alejandro Faurlinin midfield pulling the strings and young German upfront who is in a rich goalscoring vein right now. Hungarian Wizzkid Tamas Priskin may also feature Im hoping the QPR attitude isnt 100% at the game. That their camp has a bit of the 'benidorm factor' about it as Paul Merson refers to. From our point of view A well documented dreadful run. Could this be the game to right the ship and reignite the playoff push? Recent results against QPR are mixed, and we do seem to be lightweight up front right now. I think Vaughan did enough in the second half at the Hawthorns to stake a claim to start on Monday, but there are so many issues,,,,, Will Pearson revert back to a 4-3-3, or persist with Howard up front? Who will fill the left hand side berth if Dyer isnt fit? Is there a place in the side for N'Guessan? Im not predicting a classic game of football on monday by any means. But i think Leicester will use the recent disappointments as the catalyst to deliver a 1-0 win, probably by a second half goal after a tight, tense opening half. The fans have their part to play too. Lets make the Walkers intimidating, loud and passionate and really be that 12th man on Monday COME ON LEICESTER
The Doctor Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 we can win this and we will - qpr are a shadow of the side we faced at loftus road in october. Yes they beat wba 3-1 on warnocks first game in charge but other than that their form has been patchy (won 1, lost 1 drawn 4 since then). Resounding 4-1 win coupled with a thrashing for blackpool giving us a bit of breathing space.
FoxyPV Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Yeah, 1-0. A desperately sought-after win. Either that or we thrash them 14-0 and achieve a new club record, if only to get all this un-scoring record of lately off the chest(s). I'm backing this result- we need to improve our goal difference!
Corky Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Really believe that we can win this and get back on track. 2-1 victory.
Karljohn Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 More worried about Peterborough if I am honest, think we will turn in a shaky performance on Monday but win 2-0, not going to predict the scorers as NP has gone all Ranieri on us at the moment and it could be anyone in the first X1. I remember going to Peterborough in 93 needing a win for promotion and we got stuffed 3-0, also last year losing 2-0 so its not the best of grounds for us and the pressure is off them.
maddog Posted 3 April 2010 Author Posted 3 April 2010 Awesome results for us today, looks like it's just between us, Blackpool and Swansea now for the 5th, 6th and 7th spots.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 I will be singing my heart out but just can't see us winning. We have collapsed at a bad time and QPR are on a roll.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Time for City to get back up and be counted. 3-0 win.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 We like our big Easter Monday games, was Leeds last season if I remember correctly. I think we'll draw, drop out the playoffs but then win at Peterboro and jump back in them. QPR not easy to beat at the minute and we're struggling for goals, not going to be a classic. I'm praying for an early goal, well obviously any goal will do but an early will settle everyone down and hopefully the confidence will rise.
C-man Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 Nervous already. Fail to win this one and it's goodnight.
bigneville Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 Tomorrow is an absolutely massive test of character for us. I can see QPR taking an early lead with their vast aray of potential filled talent. If we go behind, then it will show us how good we really are. We will need to show mental toughness and ability to get something from the game. Having said that, I believe with some good home support, plenty of belief, and a slice of luck, that this game is certainly there for the winning. Both sides will score 2-1 to Leicester.
Callabinho Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 1-3 QPR, we will score first but I think the nerves will show in the later stages of the half !, I cant see us winning many games now or picking up many points. As much as i want us to go up it wont happen. I was correct when I said we would loose to Shit county, Cardiff blue tits, and Hand baggies. I got so wound up over the bbc report on the t.v, it failed to mention we actually didn't play to badly just West Brom are a damn good team ! COME ON CITY !
Guest ttfn Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 I'm going tomorrow: League games I've been to this season: Played 13 Points 30 League games I haven't been to this season: Played 28 Points 31 WIN.
lovelcfc Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 We will win 2-0 but not play very well but who cares as long as we win KEEP THE FAITH

To be fair not many of us would have said we'd win at Cardiff or West Brom........But thank's for your hindsight against Derby.
