Sorry, but what the heck has what I wrote there got anything to do with anything?

How are the two related as at no point in there am I demanding KIA shared his information with us. All I have said is that it's his own fault if he gets in trouble for posting information, which it is. And that's why I defended Berts right to hold things close to his chest.

It was actually in reply to theses posts below:-

He got absolutely nailed by some retards on here after "claiming" Simon Cox was signing, even though he was at the training ground etc but gave us best at the last minute!

He decided to quit after taking a barrage of complaints/abuse because one of his 'hints' failed to materialise, people still don't seem to understand the notion that any 'insider info' is going to be subject to cancellation/delay.

What people need to do is judge the source for what it is claimed to be and then give the source time to prove themselves. Bert, KIA and bnet on Bentleys have all proved reliable more often than not. They also need to recognise that the level of detail is dependant on the number of people that are likely to be in the know, it's all pretty logical if people would only use their brainsdunno.gif

KIA was an invaluable source of information and people abusing/moaning at him drove him away....

Fair enough Bert may only give little hints away but I don't blame him as it could easily jeopardise his position/relationship with whatever/whoever he knows. I'm meant to be showing Citys new assistant manager and first team coach round some houses this avo but any info I may squeeze from them I'd be careful to dish out in small doses so as not to put myself at risk. But even if I only tell you a little fact, i.e. that one of them has a chihuahua (which I already genuinely do know).... Its interesting for some posters on here and the majority of posters (the reasonable and grateful ones) won't get the arse cos I won't reveal what street/road or area that they are looking for.... Rant over...

The point is that he wasn't driven away by people, he threw his toys out of the pram and you said it was his own fault (quite rightly) that he/she almost got found out. You were one of many posters to point this out yet were not vilified in the way Rocky has been just for asking for a source, which is less harsh imo. It wasn't designed to have a go at you, it was to show that KIA was not driven away as per the comments above so should not be used as a stick to beat Rocky up with. Hope that makes sense. :thumbup:

Replies like that make it worth coming on this board - the predicability is absolutely incredible (Houdini Logic, perhaps your bookies idea might not be a bad one after all; simply make it "I give it till the end of this page before someone states that (anything new to do with the club) is shockingly terrible".

Seriously mate, what the feck do you class as a 'decent' sponsor? Even if we'd ended up with Topps Tiles again your 'I wouldn't even bother having that printed on' comment would still be a bit laughable: do you really think fans' desire to get the sponsor printed on their replica shirt is something that influences a multi-million pound decision?!

As it is, "King Power" is actually a rather superb thing to have on the front of your shirt IMO - it references one of our players and (hopefully) represents our all-ruling prowess on the pitch...

You knew that we were going to be sponsored by King Power, and surprisingly it says King Power on the front.

Seriously in the grand scheme of things is it really rancid? What would you class as a decent sponsor by the way?

Sorry I'm still lost as to why the two are linked. I understand you pointing out that he left because of the mercury story and not because people slagged him off (PM's from KIA to mods on here say otherwise, but they are private and shall stay so).

But KIA being told it's his own fault if he gets in trouble and someone pretty much demanding to know what Bert knows are two completely different things as far as I'm concerned. If Bert posts something and gets in trouble then it's his own fault also, people are having a go at Rocky to defend Berts right to play his cards close to his chest so that he doesn't get in trouble or vilified.

I dunno, i'm lost so i'm retiring gracefully from this discussion.
