bald reynard Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 One interesting thing about Tony Mowbray's appointment, is that he'll bring an ex-City player with him as Assistant Manager. I think Mark Venus has been with him in all his jobs.
jonthefox Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 i bet np reads these boards and thinks feck me, your already finding replacements.
JoeyB Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 If we do get Mowbray IF pearson goes, we might be able to sign Koren, haha. But its all about IF's and Buts
Webbo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Just as long as we don't get some has been like Joe Royle or Alan Curbishley.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Reports of Gareth Southgate being seen in Leicester.
lovelcfc Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Reports of Gareth Southgate being seen in Leicester. hes in south africa
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 hes in south africa Hence the smiley. Wondered if anyone would fall for it. It was on Jobber's status and knew he was taking the piss!
lovelcfc Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 i think if pearson does go would be a good appointment
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Mowbray would worry me. How can a former defender have each one of his teams being so shit at the back?! Would be worse appointments though.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 i bet np reads these boards and thinks feck me, your already finding replacements. The only thing he's reading is the small print escape clause in his HCFC contract.
DanTheFox07 Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 oh dear would rather have southgate then mowbray pie man, awful reign at celtic didnt have a clue there and clueless when west brom got relegated, would be a massive backwards step!! would lose a lot of faith in mandaric if he is appointed!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 If we do get Mowbray IF pearson goes, we might be able to sign Koren, haha. But its all about IF's and Buts Mowbray with Penis and Nicky Butt. There is a quip in there somewhere, but I'm too darned upset to think what it could be. Note to newbies: Venus was referrred to as "Penis" in his playing days because he was, well, a penis.

What was Southgate when Middlesbrough got relegated?
Jimmy Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 What was Southgate when Middlesbrough got relegated? when he was sacked Middlesbrough were 2nd, that said of the names mentioned Mowbray is by far the best
Salieri Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 when he was sacked Middlesbrough were 2nd, that said of the names mentioned Mowbray is by far the best And if that doesn't depress you further still, then nothing will. Still take Curbishley over Mowbray every time.
nuneatonfox Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Sorry I go for Alan Pardew an attacking hard manager just what Leicester need. Mowbray flooped at Celtic.. Curbishley doesn't like leaving london, also did crap at Charlton & West Ham. Southgate one of worst managers of all time. I'd like to see Leicester get Billy Davies
Tuna Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Pardew, god no, got Charlton relegated was an absolute disaster there.

davieG Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 If they're out of a job they'll likely as not been a failure somewhere. So assuming to can't afford compensation our next manager will be a proven failure.
Webbo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 If Taggart hadn' t left he might have been in with a shout, as caretaker at least.

Southgate would be a bit of an unknown quantity. He failed at Boro but he went straight from being a player there to being the manager. It's hard to go from one of the lads to being the boss. Coming here would be a fresh start. Who knows?
