Clearly just a game to see what players he has at his disposal, nothing to worry about.

Looks that way, maybe a fair few could be leaving once we return ! I am just worried about Vitor was he injured ?

Glad to see him test out a load of players, Dj got a goal. Seems like a good workout, beaten 4-1.

As proved by most teams in the country though, friendly results are totally meaningless.

No shit Jim Beglin ;)

Not really sure what to make about a game in which the teams stopped for water breaks in the middle of the halves besides it being a glorified training session.

I wouldn't read anything into it. The players have had less than a weeks training and half those players won't make the first team anytime soon.

Good to see some trialists play, maybe start of Sousa's wide web of connections! SEEMS LIKE HE IS KEEN ON YOUNGSTERS TOO

Ooops....Could well be his shortest ever managerial position if C.E.O.P take this literally.....

A good workout. Not the best result, but I suppose the fitness is more important at the minute. Glad to see some other players getting a game, and also DJ scoring. The football will most probably suit him better, like at Blackpool because to be fair, Holloway kept the ball on the floor most of the time.

Sorry guys its my fault we lost....

I played with Leicester this morning on Fifa and randomly selected a team to play and went on to win 4-1, but I have only just found out that the team I beat on Fifa was in fact the same team that Lcfc lost to tonight :| I actually didn't know that we were playing them today :|

And I also beat Notts forest 5-1 on the eve of that 5-1 thrashing they gave us.....I will never play Fifa again lol

A match which was only arranged the night before, lose 4-1, not too shabby.

Especially looking at some of the names in their squad! Maicon, Bruno, Hermes, Thiago! And not forgetting the Wolves legend Tomasz Frankowski (16 games, 0 Goals)

It was probably just a fitness game rather than a friendly (for us, anyway). And also, I expect Bialystok are much more progressed in their pre-season training than us, owing to their participation in the Third qualifying round of the Europa League

Paulo Sousa's first game in charge of Leicester City ended in defeat, as they were beaten 4-1 by Polish Cup holders Jegellonia in Slovenia.

A first half brace from Groiscki and a further two goals in the second period from Tomasz Franakowski propelled the Polish side to victory. Striker DJ Campbell bagged a goal for Leicester on his return to the side.

The game was Jegellonia's fourth of their pre-season programme, and it was perhaps no surprise that they edged the Foxes for match sharpness already having three weeks of pre-season training under their belts.

Paulo Sousa handed Portuguese defender Miguel Vitor a first start for the club, and included Campbell from the start, and every player apart from Robert Ambrusics and Paul Gallagher got some playing time.

Matty Fryatt missed the opportunity to give Leicester an early lead, a lucky ricochet saw the ball fall to him inside the penalty area, but the former Walsall man shot well over.

City looked a threat down the left flank, with Dany N'Guessan and Campbell combining well, using their pace to threaten the Jegellonia defence.

Leicester were forced into a first half substitution, when new signing Miguel Vitor was replaced by Michael Morrison, the defender removed as a precaution after feeling a tight muscle.

After little in the way of goalmouth action in the opening half hour, the game then exploded into life with three goals in five minutes.

Jegellonia took the lead, when Grosicki's clever touch took him away from Tom Parkes, he then rounded Conrad Logan to slot into an empty net.

The Polish side's initial advantage was short lived, as City hit back immediately. DJ Campbell getting the better of the Jegellonia defender's and firing a low shot into the corner of the net.

The third goal of the game went the way of the Polish side, Aman Verma's misplaced pass, allowed Bialystok to break quickly, and Grosicki chipped over Logan to make it 2-1.

City almost levelled before the break, Yann Kermorgant's free kick from 25 yards flew just past the post.

After the break Paulo Sousa introduced the likes of Richie Wellens, Jack Hobbs and Lloyd Dyer as Leicester looked get back into the game but Bialystok had the better of the opening exchanges after the break as City failed to establish much of a rhythm.

Just after the hour, the Polish Cup holders added a third goal, when Polish international Tomasz Frankowski volleyed low into the bottom corner, to leave Chris Weale helpless.

Sousa introduced two of the youngsters that starred in John Rudkin's Academy side last season, and Jorrin John and Jeffrey Schlupp appeared to give City a little extra impetus.

Firstly after 73 minutes, Steve Howard headed wide from John's three minute cross, then three minutes later Schlupp crossed for King but he headed wide with the goal at his mercy.

In the final ten minutes Michael Morrison couldn't convert a John corner, and soon after a second goal from Frankowski, who slotted cooly past Weale, completed the scoring.

Team - First Half - Logan, Neilson, Vitor (Morrison), Parkes, Berner, Oakley, Kermorgant, Verma, N'Guessan, Fryatt, CampbellSecond Half - Weale, Zverotic, Hobbs, Morrison, Kennedy (Mansour), Adams (John), King, Wellens, Dyer (Schlupp), Howard, Crncic (Chambers)
