The manager that took you to your highest league finish EVER

Point of order - Swansea have played in the top Division.

sack them all i say

its been 3 games, and yes we are bottom, and yes we have conceded a fair few goals, but at least we have the best looking manager in the championship, thats all that matters right?

On a serious note, 3 games is hardly a reasonable amount of time to come on here and start judging us and our manager, give us a chance at least, come back after 12 games, then if nothing has changed, then fair play

Erm, no that would have been 6th in the First Division in 1982 under a certain John Toshack.

:rolleyes::chant::scarf:

Do some research :crylaugh:

This thread is funny... in most of the other threads on the forum Sousa has been slagged off something rotten in places. As soon as a rival fans dares to slag him off everyone sticks up for him and start talking sense!! ;)

let's face it, we, the fans, didn't even appoint Sousa in the first place. Regardless of the man's strengths and weaknesses I'd rather we hadn't raided another Club for a manager. Indeed for all his 'dour' attributes, I'd rather have stuck with Pearson, who seemed to know a fair bit about motivating players.

Lets face it we're all powerless in the face of egotistical Chairmen who blather on about their love for the Club they happen to be in control of at that moment in time whilst eyeing the most profitable exit strategy. We now have a new set of owners who haven't seen fit to communicate with us directly, even via the always lethargic Club website.

Who knows if Sousa is any good? I don't, but I presume he knows a bit about football having played at the highest level. Lets just hope he is a good man manager. Take Fryatt. I don't know the man, but from a distance, he seems like one of those sportsmen who needs his coach/manager to regularly reassure him of how good he is. He needs encouragement. I hope Sousa realises that, and I hope we stick with Sousa. I fear this season might be dreadful, but if we look at a team like Ipswich, we see what can happen if you keep the faith when everyone is baying for the manager's blood. They stuck with Keane, and he'll get it right. I think Sousa will too, but it make take some time. Lets hope we can make a couple of quality signings this week, but not too many. Again, I want some consistency rather than a total overhaul of the team.

Whilst I will obviously continue to support City week in, week out, I do feel strangely disenchanted with it all at the moment, and I don't know why. I suspect it's the predictable level of bull we have to endure from Chairmen, website player interviews, millionaire investors etc etc. It just makes me feel more and more detached from the Club I love.

Saved me the bother, exactly what I was thinking. Most other threads since saturday have been completely critical of Sousa and everyone pining for Pearson back. Lots of hypocrisy in this thread.

It's odd how our avatars look remarkably similar, even though they are of different people.

It's funny how we both look remarkably similar, even though were totally different colour, i'm tanned and your a raw sausage colour!!

I bet if my avatar took it's turban off, they would look exactly the same!!

Its been 3 games. Sousa has inherited a squad full of Nigel Pearson signings, some of which are very poor.

If we're bottom at christmas, then we'll think about it.

How long did it take you to realise that Sousa is not a good manager ?

You were warned, but you said that it was because he left us to join you.

We were trying to get rid of him, because we could see threw him (and his chum Bruno).

We didnt have to sack him, cause you ended up paying us for him.

It took us a few months to work him out, but it took less time at Leicester for him to prove how bad he is.

Good luck.

Goodness gracious me bach. You are funny little fellow aren't you? Look you to goodness now, at 'ow silly you look. I would rather watch the wool grow on a sheep's back that watch your little tin pot team, boyo. Have your say when the seasons over, Taffy.

I think I will refer to you as the Welsh Weazle, from now on, heavens to goodness.

Ta-ta for now.

Can I correct a lot of our fans - it's been 4 games plus a load of pre-season friendlies! (True only 3 league games) Am I worried, yes the feeling isn't right, am I likely to jump to the ludicrous reaction of wanting him sacked...

yes, Sousa out! :admin:
