Edmund Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 As much as he's been better, and I admit that, Are you feeling alright? Could be resting him.
Bert Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he goes he goes, and we'll get a decent amount for him. Holloway has stated that he couldn't afford to get him in, which means paying decent money in my eyes if they come back for him. Why does he need to come and watch DJ anyway? He already knows what he can do.
Webbo Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he is off, then this is the best thing Sousa has done since winning the Champions League in the 90's. Abso'frickin'lutely.
Mack Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he is off, then this is the best thing Sousa has done since winning the Champions League in the 90's. My thoughts exactly.
stix Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If we can afford to keep him then i think we should purely for more attacking options. But if he does go..... ....oh well.
Simmo86 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Deej would have to take a 10k paycut to go to Blackpool, can't see it happening to be honest!
Edmund Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Deej would have to take a 10k paycut to go to Blackpool, can't see it happening to be honest! You've got to feel sorry for Blackpool fans. Being out muscled by championship teams. Pitman turned them down for Bristol City.
Finnegan Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Are you feeling alright? Well he has obviously been better, he looks fit at least for a start. Still non't impressed, mind. He's back up to speed and so he's making defenders nervous, sure, but he's still not exactly the natural goalscorer we've always lacked. Don't get me wrong, if he stays I'll get behind him, but if he goes and we get any reasonable amount of money for him then it'll be fantastic business in my book. Especially if he's replaced with someone on a lower wage.
leftsideoverhere Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Now that the Blackpool chairman has resigned over the ludicrous financial arrangements of premiership clubs, or something similar, it might be the case that Ollie is now being given more freedom to risk the financial stability of the club with higher wages and inflated transfer fees. So I guess it's not impossible that they might table a better offer for DJ. But I don't think too much should be read into the fact that Sousa didn't play him in last night's game.

He resigned because he was declared bankrupt and bankrupts are not allowed to be Chair/CEO of football clubs.
Babylon Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Now that the Blackpool chairman has resigned He's doing the same job, just under another name.
Flynny Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 What blackpool are doing is good and sensible for a club of their stature, seems odd that they're getting a little dumped on. Not in here I mean but in general. If they don't go out on a limb they'll return to the Championship very strong and should establish themselves at that level. Considering where they were a couple of seasons ago and their facilities that'll be a huge achievement in itself.
blueincornwall Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Maybe he didn't play because Blackpool didn't want him cup tied. Ooops
wurmer Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 You've got to feel sorry for Blackpool fans. Being out muscled by championship teams. Pitman turned them down for Bristol City. They will be a championship team next season anyways...
nuttytimmy Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Stringer has just tweeted that "I expect Yuki Abe to be an #LCFC in the next 48 hrs. Excited by this, 49 caps for a good Japan team, what about DJ? Fearful Blackpool close". I think that would be a pretty sweet deal!
Cheese Me Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Looks like he might be off then. Not the end of the world but I'd want to make sure we bought in another goal scorer before the window closes
nuttytimmy Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Looks like he might be off then. Not the end of the world but I'd want to make sure we bought in another goal scorer before the window closes Agreed. We need a good finisher who has a bit of raw pace too. It's just something we've not really had in the squad for a while and would make things so much easier!
Bert Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 At least this way, we'll get a fee for him, and not lose him for nothing at the end of the season....
Jimothy Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Not bothered if DJ goes really, but this close to the end of the window it's a worry that we'll be so short of strikers. Howard, Fryatt and Crncic (or how ever it's spelt) as the only real strikers and Crncic hasn't even played a minute of football in this country let alone proved himself good enough for the Championship. I thought we needed another striker with DJ in the squad, so we'll need a couple if he does go.

Might not have the same dynamism, we definitely will be shy a bit of pace up top without Deejay - I'm not stubborn enough to deny that - but for all of Gallagher's doubters I can see him getting on very well with Sousa's style of football, that nobody can deny.
breadandcheese Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he is off, then this is the best thing Sousa has done since winning the Champions League in the 90's. This made me a laugh a lot and sums up exactly how I feel about this.
carterfox90 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 wont miss him as long as we get someone with a bit of pace up front as i think we lack that

Doh, he completely slipped my mind. Never been doubter of his. Still maybe could do with another striker even if DJ stays.
