The deadline was 6pm, therefore the relevant paperwork must have been sorted by 6pm.

I was fishing to see if bert knew anything. As we have announced players late before. Like ferera and djaziri. ;-)

yes but then that goes to the fa or the football league ( i forget which) along with the paperwork for every other transfer across the leagues. Which means a potential massive backlog of transfers to be ratified.

can someone tell paulo NOT! to put a recall clause on him if were getting him on loan cause i got this feeling pearson will take him away if we get in play offs or anything better! :scarf:

Didn't we nearly have trouble with Waghorn last year because his loan was supposed to end before play offs started? We had to go back to Sunderland and get permission. Or am I making that up?

I thought we could up the offer for Williams. If they accept do it as a loan that we'll pay up for in jan. Lots of ways round this deadline that the clever buggers can think of I am sure.

recall clauses can only be activated in a transfer window, Unless pearson recalls him in january, then he can be involved in the play-offs as the summer transfer window doesn't open till july 1st, Meaing the loan has to either end in january or next july.

51.1 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window

looked into this zayatte fella a bit more, orginal perception was that he was good. doesnt seem that way to me now. also checked out hull forum and they dont even rate him and arnt even to bothered that he is linked with us. they think he is kinda crap. NP wouldnt let a good DC leave that easily. i hope we stay well clear of him to be honest! as above, would rather leicester up the offer for williams and pay them in jan

From the Blue Army

Leicester City will make a move to sign Hull City defender Kamil Zayatte on loan when the window opens next week.

City made a transfer deadline-day approach to the Tigers to sign Zayatte on Tuesday after failing in a bid to sign Swansea City defender Ashley Williams, but ran out of time to complete the deal.

However, City are trying to set up a loan agreement with the Tigers when the loan window for Football League clubs opens on Wednesday.

City boss Paulo Sousa wants to recruit a new central defender as he sees summer signing Moreno more as a defensive midfielder, and fellow Portuguese defender Miguel Vitor has yet to make a first-team appearance because of a thigh injury.

Bulgarian Aleksandar Tunchev is still some way off a first-team return after his lengthy injury absence, and Sousa seems uncertain about Michael Morrison, who has struggled to break into the starting line-up.

Consequently, the City boss has prioritised bringing in a regular partner for Jack Hobbs.

Hull are keen to off-load Zayatte, the 25-year-old Guinea international who joined the Tigers from Swiss club Young Boys last year for a then-club record fee of £2.5million.

Zayatte has started every Tigers game this season but Hull boss Nigel Pearson is streamlining his playing budget following the club's relegation last season, and Zayatte is on Premier League wages.

Leicester close in on Zayatte loan

Kamil Zayatte is rumoured to be close to signing a loan deal with Leicester City after City`s npower Championship rivals failed with a deadline day bid for the Guinean defender.

Zayatte has started all of City`s league games this season but has been allowed to leave on loan to free up funds to bring Daniel Ayala into the club.

The young Spaniard has agreed terms over a loan move to the KC with Liverpool eager to see the centre-back gain first-team experience through a season long loan deal.

A move was agreed prior to Tuesday`s transfer deadline but has now been delayed until the loan window re-opens on September 8th as the move is dependent upon Kamil Zayatte`s move to Leicester City.

How odd, it looks as though either Pearson is being forced to reduce his wage bill, or he doesn't seem to rate Zayatte. Either way, the alarm bells are ringing!!!

Well he's started every match for them so far so I'd guess it's his wages. No doubt on big bucks from the Premiership days...

I either read 22k in the paper or i've plucked 22k out of thin air.

Is this guy any good in the left sided CB position?

Would be a great signing imo, and although he's probably lost abit of motivation at Hull this season due to their relegation, he's still been one of their best players for the past few seasons despite what some Hull fans say. Get him in, get him motivated and this will be a top signing.
