Simo86 Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 If we do sign Zayatte, at least we'll have a left sided centre back which we/hobbs have been missing this season
Nick Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 If we do sign Zayatte, at least we'll have a left sided centre back which we/hobbs have been missing this season Absolutely, if we are going to play attacking football, leaving defence often exposed we need players in position - none of this round pegs in square holes stuff. This is a smart buy, I think as a new signing and a Sousa signing, he'll play well for us rather than look like a dejected player from a relegated side who knows his club are looking to offload him due to wages..... Let's build him a nice blue home.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 If we do sign Zayatte, at least we'll have a left sided centre back which we/hobbs have been missing this season The guy from Hull on the radio on Monday said he could play centre back and right back so he must be right footed.
dpjfox Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Interesting some Hull fans rate him thier star defender others say hes crap..... he should have signed by now, maybe its offm maybe Vitors fit
teblin Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Hull fans take on £700k move Guess it's like any player. Like the Wellens debate that's going on, on here.
Bettsj2 Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Interesting some Hull fans rate him thier star defender others say hes crap..... he should have signed by now, maybe its offm maybe Vitors fit Vitor is training in the 'Picture Special' on the OS so maybe he'll feature. Or maybe not.
Jimmy Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 he seems to have gotten unsettled because of all the squad changes since they got relegated
Simo86 Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 The guy from Hull on the radio on Monday said he could play centre back and right back so he must be right footed. I thought he originally started at left back when he first signed for them
Wymsey Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 This guy seems a mystery. Lets see if he will be a hobbs (hopefully) or be a laid back guy like Lamey which i am worried about
ScouseFox Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Stringer's Twitter "Busy day tomorrow. Sousa, Oakley+Howard interviews plus Andy King 'keeping it up'. Zayatte to sign for #LCFC loan then permanent Jan #HCFC"
Toby or not Toby Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Get this done tommorrow so he has a chance to train with the squad before sat. I also cannot really remember seein him play?
davieG Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Leicester City target Kamil Zayatte 'failed to fulfil his potential' at Hull Thursday, September 09, 2010, 09:30Comment on this story<br style="line-height: 1.4em; "> Hull City defender Kamil Zayatte can be a hit at Leicester City – but the Tigers will be pleased to see him go, according to former Hull player Peter Swan. Swan, who spent two years as a Tigers player during his career and is now a local newspaper columnist and radio pundit on Humberside, said Guinea international Zayatte had initially been a promising performer for Hull. However, Zayatte had looked like a player desperate to leave in recent months, and Swan believes his departure on loan to City will be a "blessing" for the Tigers. The 25-year-old, who was putting the finishing touches to his loan move yesterday and should go straight into Paulo Sousa's squad to face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, joined Hull on loan from Swiss side Young Boys in 2008 and impressed enough to earn a permanent £2.5million move. However, Swan said he has failed to live up to his potential at the KC Stadium. "I think Hull will be happy to see him go," said Swan. "It will be a blessing. "I think he has wanted out at Hull for the past few weeks. "When he first came he showed a lot of promise and I think the club had high hopes. "He has all the ingredients you need as a modern central defender. He was raw but he was athletic and strong. I think the club thought they had something they could build on. "He initially had some great games. But since he signed permanently he has relaxed and errors have crept in. He is prone to lapses in concentration. "He has played every game so far this season for Hull but there isn't much competition for defensive places at the moment. He might do well for Leicester because he can be a good player."
Far Post Gerry Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Sounds like he's a 'mood' player. Let's hope he settles well in Leicester and has a good relationship with Sousa.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I wouldn't read too much into those kind of quotes, when a club loses a player they always tend to give a negative slant because there is a tinge of bitterness and the player's departure.
Austin Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Dunno much about him tbh, i'll reserve judgement till I see him on the pitch
Unabomber Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I thought he was great for them when he first arrived in the Prem, not sure what has happened since.
STUHILL Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 No doubt a signing we needed. It gives us 4 CB's which is what is required. I would assume that Hobbs will play with Zayatte, so I do wonder where this 15million pound rated Vitor will fit in. Maybe he will play RB. Morrison definitely looks to be 4th choice though as a CB, however, I would have him first choice as RB right now. I thought he played very well there last season and looked surprisingly good going forward. Zayatte seems unliked by the majority of Hull fans but also a common theme is the fact they recognise he has talent and so at least there is potential for him to be good player for us. Eitherway, I'm just happy Moreno won't be starting CB again. A guy that can't header the ball at CB is a shocking selection. Zayatte, WELCOME!!!
Wymsey Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 imo if Zayatte was at his full potential along with Hobbs (who always plays his games well) hopefully they can produce a solid defensive partnership
dave_the_fox Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Confirmed in the morn according to the string
sdb Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 hmmm surely loan with view to signing would've made more sense. sounds like we've agreed to buy regardless.
dave_the_fox Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 hmmm surely loan with view to signing would've made more sense. sounds like we've agreed to buy regardless. I see what your saying, but i think if he is rubbish then we can still send him back - its with a VIEW to a permanent. i think
