AoWW Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Whats the fixation with 2, 4? Have you ever heard lil'dave trying to do his 2 times-table?
Bert Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 http://www.lcfc.com/articles/20100831/waggy-delighted-to-be-back_2264710_2141020 someone pleeeeeeease get a rip/audio rip of that! Don't know how to but, he's glad to be here and just wants to play football and get us back where we belongs. A bit disappointed to have left Sunderland but he said it's a fresh start and is looking forward to getting started again.
Little Nicky Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I can't believe how happy I am, even made me put a couple of quid towards foxestalk as well, I've gone mad
Joe. Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 the guardian have just said the fee was £3m Fee could rise to £3m. So you're looking at goals and appearances, which are almost certain to arrive eventually. Plus an inevitable sell-on fee... So happy with this.
samuel Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Thank you. And to the others who've generously made donations... keep 'em coming. Much against my better judgement.....But it ain't a bad set up.....

davieG Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 the guardian have just said the fee was £3m Sunderland OS says rising to £3mill
Guest ttfn Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Just think we need to rein in our expectations. Last season he did fine, but at no stage did he prove he was ready to spearhead a promotion charge. Fryatt remains a better option at centre forward, and I can certainly see Waghorn operating primarily from the flanks with Lloyd and supporting Fryatt/Howard. The positive news is that this is a permanent transfer, because he'll make a decent Premier League striker one day.
Prospero Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I'm very pleased Waghorn is back on a permanent deal and that the rest of the team seems to have remained intact, with the one obvious exception. I am a little surprised by how downbeat he is in the interview on Foxes Player, I suspect this kind of interview in the circumstances can be difficult and he is a modest chap; he speaks honestly and is disappointed by the lack of opportunities at Sunderland and seems resigned to rejoining a club with which he is familiar and keen to make his mark again. His priority is to play football.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 can anyone download the video so we can watch it please?
Guest ttfn Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 -----------------Weale-------------------- Neilson----Morrison---Hobbs---Bruno ------------------Abe----------------------- ----------King---------Wellens----------- Dyer-----------------------------Waghorn -----------------Fryatt---------------------- Logan Lamey Moreno DNG Oakley Gallagher Howard Not too shabby really I think if NP was still manager I'd be confident that that would be the side selected and would be feeling positive right now. I think under Sousa it's probably more realistic to expect: Logan Lamey Hobbs Moreno Kennedy Oakley Verma (recalled from loan deal, obviously) Wellens Porter Howard N'Guessan subs: Weale Sousa's brother Sousa's Mrs' brother Sousa's uncle Ashley Chambers Sousa himself Bruno Oliveira
Karljohn Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Delighted with this, odd that I have a signed picture of him scoring at Cov in my lounge and I sat staring at it a few days ago thinking how downhill we have gone since NP, Waggy etc. Also got me 125 shirt printed up with Waghorn in the close season as a souvenir of days gone by. Never thought we would see him back in a blue shirt. Fantastic.
Corky Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Very pleased with this, someone we know and is familiar to the players. Good signing Paulo.
wurmer Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I think this was a mandaric signing - carefully orchestrated to look like it wasn't.... Don't care though, like the boy a lot and he will do a good job for us.
Collymore Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Don't know how to but, he's glad to be here and just wants to play football and get us back where we belongs. A bit disappointed to have left Sunderland but he said it's a fresh start and is looking forward to getting started again. Yeah he seems more disappointed than anything. I think he really did want to stay and fight at sunderland. He must feel at home at our club though with how honest he is. Welcome back Waggy
easilee Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Thank you. And to the others who've generously made donations... keep 'em coming. I feel so guilty. I'm Borasic lint, but as soon as my biz is up and running you can be sure of a nice un'. Appreciate everything you bunch do.
Matt Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Think I might get Waghorn on my shirt now, was tempted back in the summer and never got round to it. He seems a real honest lad and player (Something very rare these days) he kept us (The fans) in the picture being honest with us saying he wanted to go home give it one more chance with his home town club, some players would just have kept stringing the fans along saying 'Yeah yeah, I'd love to stop with Leicester' knowing full well they didn't, he's now come back said he's disappointed to be leaving his home town club, and I can fully understand that, but he is here now for a fresh start at his '2nd club' where he feels comfortable, knows the surrounding has many friends (Who as he said when he left treated him like family). Really did wish him all the best back on Sunderland, really hoped he was given a chance with them at the highest level but he wasn't, I'm delighted to have him back. Just worry people might heap to much pressure on him.

Good post, and with our poor start the spotlight is going to be on him so has to cope with the expectations, but he's a year older, not so raw and a lot of people forget that he didn't start a game for a long time, got injured at Bramall Lane and also dismissed against Bristol City, I think he only started around 25 matches for us and bagged 12 goals so a great return, I see no reason why he can't bag 20.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Absolutely Delighted. Love the guy. Celebrated in the front room when I found out, my dad was like wtf ? Gonna be on my shirt too.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Sousa really does know how to win the fans back haha. Good work PS.
i hate cov Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 shit i had watched the deadline day on skysports news all day but had training at 6 so i went and thought we had missed out on waghorn, just found out now the good news though, so happy!

I just hope that he is not seen as some sort of 'messiah', that he is allowed to play his game and get on with playing!
ousefox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Quality signing. Possibly rising to £3m is quite sizeable but in my opinion he is worth every penny and will give a huge boost to the moral in the sqaud. Incredibly strong squad now as well, with every player who gets on our bench good enough to play in the first team. Compare our current squad to the one that of the one taken to palace on the first day. Just hope we can start getting the results now. Most expensive signing since?
