Aumski Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 right first of all. fan's say holloway's shite, he got blackpool from relegation favs to promoted int he same season for christs sake. leicester fans need to wake up. he had half a season with us, 6players out of about 70 where his signings, and we had 50different managers before him in 1 season! "he's shite" my left freaking nipple. fans say sousa's shite, he's had 4 games to teach the lads a better way of football, how long doe's it take wenger! 5 years and they still havn't won a trophie (from there worst discipline in the prem days). i dont see wenger's name on the next to be sacked list. he earns the club a profit, every season. There the only top4 team right now making profits, and if this carries on, with uefa's new rules coming out they are one of 3 or 4 teams in the prem making a profit and eligible for europe! (fair enough theres not much point in talking about leicester and europe but still, profits dont lead to bankkrupcy!) "sousa does this wrong, sousa didn't sign him", if sousa doesn't even sign his own players how do you think the team will react!? sousa himself is not happy with how the club's being run, that's so easy to tell, yet most of you fans are stilling fiddling yourselfs over NP, he's gone get over it! we over achieved last season, end of. i like NP don't get me wrong, but he's not our manager! he's Hull's. Honestly what's wrong with most of you fans! do you think sitting there, honestly thinking bemoaning sousa would help?! do you think, that if you say "he's shite", he's going to hear it!? no he won't. so shut up, and get behind the team, make some noise!, stop complaining! cuz that none of that $|-|!T help's anybody! and honestly there's some fans who do say get behind the lads and fair play to all of you, but these other lot. jesus. go support coventry or a team worthy of ya bull. This club don't need it, the player's dont need it. the manager don't need it, and neither doe's anyone else. now that the rants over, schluup and a few of the other youths look pritty promising, and with our team in need of some energy (i think a few youthies could help that), they would be motivated to play for leicester, a few of the boys support leicester, and there not too bad. also what happened to carl pentley? i remember last season or the season before when he was 5keepers he came on as a sub, and made some REAL good saves that won us the match (i think). with weale's poorish form, and logan being logan, ikeme being a waste signing (let's be honest he's here for a month and after the inter break he's off) i think it's time we get him involved with some real resurve fixtures, get him a bit of playing experiance and try him out for our number 1 or at least get him to challenge?!
MC Prussian Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Are you actually a Leicester fan or a spammer? Or a Coventry fan on the wind-up? You have cringeworthy potential. Ikeme being a waste of a signing? He was brought in as an emergency loan, to cover Logan - who's not "just being Logan", but doing rather well in goal in the absence of Weale. Holloway was shite whilst being at Leicester. Sousa's been shite at Leicester so far. If Sousa isn't happy with the way the club is run, why did he sign with us in the first place? If Schlupp and the other young lads from the Academy were so promising, why have they yet to feature in the first team? Or maybe they will feature later on in the season? Why the sudden rush? Oh, and... Pentney's at Colchester now... And that since August. And there's no way am I going to start supporting Coventry. Shut up. And get a decent font.
teblin Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Holloway is the only manager in our history to get us relegated too the third tier. He took over on the 22nd of november so had longer than half a season. He only kept the same team once in abour 30 games. He was crap here fact. Sousa has had a crap start fact. The worst start im 14 years i believe. I hope he turns it around and starts getting results. He has his players in now so hopefully we'll have a good run.
Mack Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Why do some 'fans' think they have the moral high ground on what fans should think and how they should react and behave? We all pay our money to watch the team and we all have a right to our own opinion. So by all means share your opinion but please don't tell other fans what they should think. P.S. Your spelling is shit!

James. Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I can't be arsed with most of that post but one thing that bothers me is saying "profits don't lead to bankruptcy". That's not the case, it is perfectly possible that a profitable company can go bankrupt, it's the lack of cash that causes the problem, not lack of profits.
C-man Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I concur with James., I didn't finish reading the guff about Holloway. Nearly all threads which start with an opinion rather than a news story are complete bollocks.

That's not the case, it is perfectly possible that a profitable company can go bankrupt, it's the lack of cash that causes the problem, not lack of profits. also worth noting the fact that while Arsenal showed a profit they are still over £200million in debt

"he's shite" my left freaking nipple. Have to disagree. He just couldn't do it with us. fans say sousa's shite, he's had 4 games to teach the lads a better way of football, how long doe's it take wenger! 5 years and they still havn't won a trophie (from there worst discipline in the prem days). i dont see wenger's name on the next to be sacked list. he earns the club a profit, every season. (fair enough theres not much point in talking about leicester and europe but still, profits dont lead to bankkrupcy!) Not sure what you're saying here. Wenger won trophies early on and now hasn't won anything for five years. Is that progress? And I think you will find that there are Arsenal fans coming round to the idea that a change might be needed (even if they are making a profit). Football clubs should be run properly and not recklessly, I agree with that, but you cannot simply run it as a business otherwise you lose the entertainment value/success that ultimately is what the fans pay for. We don't shell out for a season ticket so we can look at a balance sheet at the end of the season. "sousa does this wrong, sousa didn't sign him", if sousa doesn't even sign his own players how do you think the team will react!? sousa himself is not happy with how the club's being run, that's so easy to tell, yet most of you fans are stilling fiddling yourselfs over NP, he's gone get over it! we over achieved last season, end of. i like NP don't get me wrong, but he's not our manager! he's Hull's. This club don't need it, the player's dont need it. the manager don't need it, and neither doe's anyone else. This is the best bit. Moaning won't work because he won't listen, but clapping and getting behind the team will make a difference?! Blind faith does not make you a better supporter. now that the rants over, schluup and a few of the other youths look pritty promising, and with our team in need of some energy (i think a few youthies could help that), they would be motivated to play for leicester, a few of the boys support leicester, and there not too bad. also what happened to carl pentley? i remember last season or the season before when he was 5keepers he came on as a sub, and made some REAL good saves that won us the match (i think). with weale's poorish form, and logan being logan, ikeme being a waste signing (let's be honest he's here for a month and after the inter break he's off) i think it's time we get him involved with some real resurve fixtures, get him a bit of playing experiance and try him out for our number 1 or at least get him to challenge?! Maybe you're on to something there. Let's get "superfans" like Bernie and Lee Jobber playing - we'll be unbeatable.

There just some of the reason why we went don and he had to go.

There were varying reasons as to why, but he had plenty of time to keep us up and build from there. He brought in his own players. He failed at this club. Now, why does he need to implement this new style of football overnight? What is wrong with gradually adding it to the team? Mix it up a bit early on, get some points on the board and then start to change the style when we've got something to fall back on. Currently we haven't. I'm all for change of style and philosophies, but I believe that gradual evolvement from the previous style to a new one would be better.
foxaholic Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 This. Holloway may have done well else where but he was shocking here. You have to ask yourself why so many managers supposed to be rubbish by our supporters do so well else where 2 being international managers and one managing a miracle in getting Blackpol promoted . Incidentally in the championship Micky Adams lost only 4 or 5 games gates averaged nearly 30000 and he got called so what chance has a new manager .
STUHILL Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 You have to ask yourself why so many managers supposed to be rubbish by our supporters do so well else where 2 being international managers and one managing a miracle in getting Blackpol promoted . Incidentally in the championship Micky Adams lost only 4 or 5 games gates averaged nearly 30000 and he got called so what chance has a new manager . I think you will find this is a common theme with the majority of clubs. Yes some clubs stick with their managers and it eventually pays off and sometimes it doesn't, but most clubs are very similar to ours, in that, Managers just aren't given enough time. Owners and fans want instant success and after 4 games without a win, then people get impatient and call for the manager to go. I admit with Manderic as chairman, we have turned over more managers than the average club recently, but in terms of not giving managers enough time, then that is a common theme throughout the Football leagues. Managers are always likely to fail at one club and work miracles at another! That doesn't mean we made a wrong decision sacking say Levein (Now Scotland manager) or Holloway (Prem manager). It just means that for maybe a number of reasons, it didn't work for them at Leicester. Sousa could lose the next 6 games and get sacked, then takeover at somewhere like Barnsley and have them in the top 6. It makes no sense, but it happens all the time. Some times it just clicks and you get a snowball effect with confidence and then results. I'm hoping we are going to "click" this weekend and we can finally get our season going!
FoxyPV Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 The spelling's put me off even trying to read that bollox.
North-LondonFox Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 The spelling's put me off even trying to read that bollox. Not a greaeat thread i'm afraid. I do agree about us having some promising youngsters though. I really hope Sousa turns it round - i'm sure he will, but after the Holloway experience a lot of fans are understandably nervous
kimsalabim Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 You have to ask yourself why so many managers supposed to be rubbish by our supporters do so well else where 2 being international managers and one managing a miracle in getting Blackpol promoted . Incidentally in the championship Micky Adams lost only 4 or 5 games gates averaged nearly 30000 and he got called so what chance has a new manager . This guy got a lot of stick for no reason at all. Fair play we got relegated under him (We had no money thanks to administration the season before), but he had taken us to 2nd place behind pompey (who were spending a lot at the time) by turning a team of losers from the season before into a team of winners that got promotion. Everybody got on his back after about 4 games back in the championship, which was ridiculous after he had done a good job. The reasons why people are on sousa's back is because we can't defend for toffee, the players don't look fit or motivated and he's trying to impose a style onto a group of players that it just does not suit. Different Circumstance.
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Holloway did well at Blackpool because they are a small club. He did at Plymouth because they are a small club. Leicester were to big for him. I predicted Blackpool to do well last season, just as they did.
The Doctor Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Holloway did well at Blackpool because they are a small club. He did at Plymouth because they are a small club. Leicester were too big for him. I predicted Blackpool to do well last season, just as they did. this. He's one of those managers who chokes under the pressure, tries to be too "clever" with his tactics (Midfield of defenders and strikers is a good example of this) - he only does well when there is no pressure or expectation and until he can sort that out he's a mediocre manager.
