Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 It is a rumour, i've checked on the sky sports news website and it mentions nothing of the sort, and sky sports news atre usually the first to know. I feel a lot of fans are being a little bit harsh and arn't taking some factors into consideration. Although like the rest of you I am far from happy at the way this season has gone so far, I at this moment in time am in full support of the current Manager Paulo Sousa, I believe the 40 year old former Portuguese International will turn things around. What we have to bear in mind is that Sousa plays a different style of football to what Nigel Pearson played during his two year stint at The Walkers Stadium, hes playing more attacking, yes we are bottom of the league which is far from good enough for a Club as big as ours, but I feel the majority of players he inherited when he joined us in the summer arn't suited to this attacking style of play, the takeover of the thai consortium is still pending and the amount of finance needed to purchase new players hasn't really been available, therefore I feel we should get behind the man, be patient, as soon as this takeover goes through hopefully Mr. Mandaric will no longer be with us, I have to say I am far from happy with some of the decisions he's made over the past few years, transfer money will be available for January, and in my opinion I think Sousa is going to have to bring in a virtually complete new squad to suit his style of play, experience is not the key, we need quality, young, hungry players with massive potential, that will not only get us back in the Premiership in the future but keep us there aswell, and to be fair we haver played some good football under him, we get a win at Carrow Road on Tuesday we could well be out the bottom three. So my advice is stay positive, be patient he will turn it around. However if it comes to a point where we are five or more points clear of 21st place with no games in hand, he will HAVE to go, because then we will be in real danger of relegation and relegation is not acceptable or good enough. If he does go in the near future my number one choice would be Dan Petrescu, who is currently managing Kuban Krasnodar, who are currently top of the Russian second tier of football, those of you who don't remember he got Romanian side Unirea Urziceni promoted to the top Romanian League, two seasons later he won it, qualifying them for the Champions League, in the Champions League he got them into the knockout stages and resigned shortly after, although hes Romanian, due to playing in the premiership for 8 years his English is 100% perfect.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 DAMN IT We should have checked the Sky Sports News website before we believed this rumour. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE THINK OF THAT!? so easy to forget when your this excited
JmorsonLCFC Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 thats why we need Powell as manager Actually, changed my mind. POWELL IN! <3
Jackirius Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 source? Pretty self explanatory is it not..?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Once upon a time we were strong in the league, Now we're fukin fallin' a part, Gotta admit he was totally shit from the start!
Kitchandro Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Holloway took us over when we were 14th. He has to take the blame for our relegation. I wish this was true (I think), he's not going to get a tune out of these players with the way he is managing.

Ozwin Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Bloody hell, 8 pages in just over an hour. Made my day this.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 So NP didn't bring in exciting young players then?
darko2k7 Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 I really don't think this will be true , Why would they not release the story every other club does when a manager leaves . I think they will give him to the S****horpe game then sack him if it goes badly , Then it gives them the international break to find a replacement and for the new man to have time with the team before next game
Edmund Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 A decent first post until you get to Dan Petrescu. My thoughts exactly.
Jackirius Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Nice to see that all of these 'Reliable Sources' came through
Spiritwalker Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Hmm, not quite sure what I want, for two reasons... 1. There is no guarentee that if we get rid of him things would get better, also, who are we honestly capable of signing as manager? 2. If he goes now the new guy will have lots of time to sort things, and will probably have a better relationship with the players. I really don't know what to think about this I'm with you on this. If he goes I wouldn't whether to celebrate or be even more concerned. I wouldn't put my faith in either MM or a 25yr old rich kid to pick the right replacement. Also if Sousa goes it will be player power rather than bad results that have done for him. The new guy will have the same egos and bad attitudes to deal with. He will also have a chairman who knows nothing of English football selecting his transfer targets Personally I would favour giving Sousa another 5 or 6 games to turn things around.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 would you happily sacrafice 6 points to get rid of Sousa. i think that is ridiculous to think that but just wondering what you think
Arkie Bennett Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 If Stringer knew something he would be doing his childish "I know something you don't" nonsense. If Poyet, that chimp-faced close mate of Wise, comes anywhere near then I'm out.
Craig Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 would you happily sacrafice 6 points to get rid of Sousa. i think that is ridiculous to think that but just wondering what you think Can you actually see where our next 6 points are coming from anyway?
okie fox Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Anyone got a link for the Bently's site? http://www.fansonline.net/leicestercity/mb/
Kitchandro Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 'The new guy will have the same egos and bad attitudes to deal with' Who are these then? I don't think our team has many egos in it. Pearson didn't stand for egos and this mainly his team. You can tell who the egos are with their body language, like we could with DJ.
AndyBurke Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 http://www.fansonline.net/leicestercity/mb/ Many Thanks
