AmyLGK Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Milan isn't happy! So he resorts in talking out of his arse. Yeh he's like a petulant child who has a paddy just cause he's facing difficult questions!
AmyLGK Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 What is stringer on about NOW!?!?! Seriously - Sven just wants to manage the club ffs!
chesterfox Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Not the time to be asking that stuff stringer. He's gonna get banned from the club ha. The guy can't win with some....when is the time to discuss it? If he didnt mention it somebody would be slating him for letting him off the hook - looked to me as if MM was squirming. Perhaps not the right forum but let's be honest he has got away scot free from events of last summer.
ozleicester Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Can anyone share with me the basic gist if what's been said please? Sven here because he want to manage in prem Ambition...ambition...ambition Milan pissed that people told him to keep Holloway..so didnt risk with Sousa
Libertine Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Might be a bad time but it's nice to hear Stringer being a bit more pressing for once. Like that Sven pretty much confirms Pstowell will be staying too.
Jimbo Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Stringer is such a tit!! Despite what some fans may think of this appointment, some good and some bad, like Milan says, this is the biggest appointment, profile wise, that the club has ever made. And what does Stringer do?? Asks about a former manager.
1964FOX Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Chris Powell and Mike Stowell to stay, Milan to leave soon and a quality manager. It's all good.
bhav136 Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Milan needs to go now...clearly he's not gone be here for much longer now...

He has soundbites from him every bloody week. We unveil a manager and all we bloody hear is stuff about ex managers!!!
Matt Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Milan looked like he was going to cry, I was hoping it'd be a joint press conference unveiling Sven and Milan Mandaric resigning. Welcome Sven.
Wycombe Fox Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Impressed with that. I can't believe that Leicester City's manager is Sven Goran fookin Eriksson :w00t: Let's all have a disco

Cropwellfox Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Stringer was asking the wrong questions. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if what Milan just said was reasonably accurate about him asking NP to stop on. It's not the Chairman that NP's big problem was with, it was the Chief Executive i.e. Hoos. I'm sure NP mentioned the Chief Exec by title yesterday and didn't mention Chairman? For whatever reason, things went badly badly wrong between those two, and it's at his door that Stringer should be asking those questions.

Yes NP definitely said Chief Executive and that he had material to substantiate what he was saying.
StanSP Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 So what did Mandaric actually say to piss everyone off then ?

bettso Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Yes NP definitely said Chief Executive and that he had material to substantiate what he was saying. People are now desperate for Milan to be the bad guy. He's not covered himself in glory since he's been here but on this occasion it seems that he isn't the complete **** we think he is. Pearson didnt once mention a bad relationship with Milan and Milan himself said today that their relationship was good and i've seen no evidence to contrary that. Pearson is a man of principle though so if he though that things were going on behind his back then I cant blame him for walking away. After all, he said himself he felt uncomfortable so resigned. Milan asked him to stay and if he accepted he'd still be here. Pretty simple really. Quite sad though that on the day when the club we all dearly love FINALLY shows the ambition that matches the fans, we're talking about how a former manager left and not how amazing the future now appears to be.

We wouldn't have been talking about it if Stringer hadnt have dragged it up at what was an inappropriate time - it should have been about Sven this morning, not about our previous-previous Manager.

Agree, I don't know why Radio Leicester seem to have some kind of agenda, but between Stringer asking ill-directed questions, and some of the callers in particular they let onto the air, they aren't helping. Onwards and upwards. Sven is three times the man of any of our local radio hacks.
Jimbo Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 So, Owen and Heskey up front in January? I wonder what Beckham looks like playing in blue?
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 Just listened to the press conference interesting stuff with a Serb, a Thai and a Swede, that is where not only City but English football is as a whole is right now. I am quite happy about the appointment but not sure how even Sven is going to get us up this YEAR considering were in October Dont think Stringer is the most popular bloke there either!
