DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 October 2010 Posted 13 October 2010 Hmmm - what does a court in Texas have to do with this then?
wurmer Posted 13 October 2010 Posted 13 October 2010 RBS should just let the club default and stick it in admin - all this hicks/gillet bollocks will then go away and they can sell to whoever they like. They won't get relegated even with 9 points deducted - it would be worth it IMO.
FoxyPV Posted 14 October 2010 Posted 14 October 2010 The only way I could possibly imagine how the ruling in texas could effect this is because NESV are American. Tenuous?
Raj Posted 14 October 2010 Posted 14 October 2010 Is there still a chance they can go into administaration???? fcuking hope so!!!

Yes? ...( Hope your well mate...The Frenchies popped over last week waiting for the arrival of No.2!!!) Not at all! Football was banned at my school. They were all rugby toffs! No I have a growing dislike for the Premiership, the 'Big Four', Sky Sports, The FA, the England team, agents and all the shite the money has brought to the sport. I think if they went in to admin it would be for the long term good of the game. (The Mrs Frenchie is totally fed up with it all and giving him earache )

acooling08 Posted 14 October 2010 Posted 14 October 2010 I don't want them to do into administration, but lose everything and barely stay afloat. Then they get 15 points deducted and all their players leave and then we thrash them at home next season when they get relegated to secure promotion for us. Would be so epic to see all the glory boy cvnts feel pain.
lcfc_jme Posted 14 October 2010 Posted 14 October 2010 In case you're actually wondering... The High Court applied the law to the facts of this case. Hicks and Gillett can appeal only if they can prove the law was misinterpreted. They can't just appeal as a God given right because they disagree with the decision. They must be granted leave to appeal which is a mini-summary where the Court of Appeal will decide whether the case is worth listening to or if it's a dead certain for failure (full appeal cases cost a shed load of money). The High Court judge was basically saying don't bother, that's not to say they can't try though. If they aren't granted leave, that's the end of it. If they are granted permission, it may even go to the House of Lords after. Lisa will probably change all of that, it's been a while! I imagine Hicks and Gillett will just seek damages? I'd say that's about the size of it, though the House of Lords will not be involved anymore. That's the job of the Supreme Court of the UK, now. Hmmm - what does a court in Texas have to do with this then? I'd imagine it's because either one, or both, of Hicks and Gillett are Texan and probably live there the vast majority of the time. Having found out from their lawyer that they were likely to lose the case in the High Court over here, they launched proceedings of their own in a court over there to get a temporary reprieve and weigh up their next move. I'm probaby wrong but that seems like a logical enough explanation to me. I don't want them to do into administration, but lose everything and barely stay afloat. Then they get 15 points deducted and all their players leave and then we thrash them at home next season when they get relegated to secure promotion for us. Would be so epic to see all the glory boy cvnts feel pain. On what planet would any "glory boy" feel any pain whatsoever? Surely it would hardly bother them and they'd just jump ship (provided they haven't done already this season) to one of the other "Big 3", Man City or Spurs?
Sly Posted 15 October 2010 Author Posted 15 October 2010 Looks like this will be sorted within the next 12 hours.

lcfc_jme Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 oops has it already changed names? never did enjoy con & admin Apparently it changed in October of last year and claims to be separate from both Parliament and the Government, although seeing as it changed after we'd started our university year last year, I've not had to deal with it thus far! Apparently, the former owners of Liverpool (Hicks and Gillett) were seeking £1bn damages in a court in America and described the sale to NESV as "an epic swindle" lol!! Anyway, that claim has been dropped but it's thought they may seek damages over here in our courts. Bless. .Story.
Jordan Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 This is a bargain and an outstanding deal for both NESV and LFC. That said, Liverpool Football Club can officially go fook themselves.
Filbert_Ross Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Frank Rijkaard has left Galatasaray, meant to be on his way to Liverpool
MC Prussian Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 So where are all these LFC glory boys and armchair supporters wearing their Reds tee and scarf these days?
accessory Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 But will he return now that "king" Kenny has taken over? Is he old enough to remember who Kenny Dalglish is?
