Finnegan Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 . As if you pussied out of that, Lisa won't care. Fortunately I realised, hit "back" and took a screenshot to blackmail you with.

Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Not sure what all this stuff about having a bad game is about. It's the most solid defensive performance I've seen all season. 3 points were of course our main objective, but another major priority was patching things up at the back and keeping a clean sheet. Cunningham, Vitor, Hobbs, and Naughton as a back four looked really good today. With the exception of that Brown chance in the last few seconds and that one in the first few minutes where Hobbs slipped, the defence was a solid unit throughout the game and did a pretty professional job. We can't play perfect football every week but we can keep it tight at the back, and that's what we did. Given the number of goals we have conceded so far this season, this was a major issue. Abe also tracked backed when he needed to and never gave them a moment's piece on their left wing. Don't think it was a bad performance tbh.
Unabomber Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Vitor was the absolute man today. For his size he seems to be an excellent cb with a shit load of potential.
Donut Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 "Winning Ugly" is a valuable skill and this is what we did today Actually, im being slightly unfair because other than the slip up in the first minute i thought we were very good. I never really thought Preston would score, which shows weve become a little more defensively resolute, this is good Im feeling positive.............

Lisa, I'd say that it was complimentary towards you That's all I'm saying!
Thracian Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 What's happened to the good old Andy King at the near post? He went to the near post on a couple of occasions but couldn't lose his marker and the crosses were far too high anyway. We need to be much more thoughtful and prepared to try altogether different corners.
martyn Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Vitor was superb, didn't put a foot wrong all day and I'd be inclined to partner him with Davies for the time being. Be strange to see a back 4 consisting entirely of loanees. Abe was good, although we aren't going to see much continued value from him playing right wing. His work rate and snappy ball use was impressive. Nice to see Gallagher put in a much improved display as well. Preston were dreadful.
Thracian Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Not gonna start a new thread but there were around 40 ex city players at the ground tonight. Most of you guys don't sit in the West stand but they were all there today going back to the 60's. I met Steve Lynex, Julian Joachim, Ian Marshall, Richard Smith Steve Walsh etc amgonst others. Tony James was the highlight for me I met him in the Great Lounge he was a very humble guy who was surpringsly quite embrassed that somebody recognised him. We chated about that goal against Oxford that saved us from goiing down to the old division 3 back in the 80's. A very nice guy overall. Got a lot of photos and autographs from my heros of days gone by. Great night. Davie Gibson and Derek Hogg too - two guys who truly deserve the handle "legend". http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/news/Leicester-City-legend-David-Gibson-love-playing-today/article-1236696-detail/article.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Hogg

Rich Fox Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Well done to Paula Sousa for buying Vitor and getting us to pass the ball.

Poakey Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 LEAGUE TABLE What the fook are Cov doing up there?
Corky Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Vitor was the absolute man today. For his size he seems to be an excellent cb with a shit load of potential. Someone near me wasn't impressed with him, saying he was too slow and negative. Not sure what game he was watching, Vitor always looked to play through the midfield.
jamesmilner Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 it wasn't a classic , not good . but 3 points , and a deserved clean sheet . move on !
Dylan Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 What the fook are Cov doing up there? Visiting. They'll be back home at the bottom soon enough.
marbelladave Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Feeling somewhat cream crackered tonight, so a few brief thoughts before I head for the bedroom to see if Mrs Marbella is up for a bit of celebratory fun... Preston were dreadful, we really did not have to be very good and in all honesty, we were not. Despite bossing most of the game we hardly looked like scoring, our play in the final third is woeful. Despite our dominance we are still making bad mistakes at the back, Weale's 'clearances' caused us trouble on three, maybe four occasions, both Naughton and Hobbs made mistakes that could have lead to a goal and King, for once, made clear errors in defensive positions. A decent side, Swansea or WBA reserves for example would have murdered us. Some reasonable individual performances but we are still nowhere near being a coherent, organised team. Vitor was outstanding (mostly) and Abe and Gallagher were much improved than of late. Both full backs look to have real promise, Cunninghan is a year or two behind Naughton, but I would take both given half a chance. On the negative side, Fryatt looks way off the pace and Waghorn is nothing like the player we saw last year, I imagine Steve Bruce is still wondering how he got away with 'that' deal!
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 I linked the Brazilian lino that got her kit off for Playboy and he said "So the comparison to Lisa wasn't far off." Bit of an anti-climax now. Like I said, "as if you pussied out of that."
Leicester_Loyal Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Abe + Vitor look brilliant. Fryatt + Waghorn look like nobodies. PG's goal was good, but if he doesn't score, we all hate him and say he has a crap game.
Jackirius Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 Anyone watched the Naughton interview on FP? 'Yeh i said to him, he has absolutely shanked it and its gone in tut bottom bin bowl' Something along those lines.
