Tommy G Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 I think these latest two signing will make the rest of the division wake up and smell the bacon I think now, as at 25/11/2010, we have the best starting XI in this division when fit. I know QPR and Cardiff have stand out players (Taarabat springs to mind), but I think overall we have the best team. -----------------------Kirkland ---Naughton---Davies---Vitor---Cunningham--- -------------------Wellens------Abe--------------------- --------------------------King------------------------------ Vassell--------------Bednar---------------Waghorn With plenty of options on the bench too. I think this is the best team on paper since the O'Neil days, if anyone can challenge me to a better XI since then, then I'm all ears. Bring on the rest of the season

Bring on the rest of the season This guy sounds like a Bond Villian. I agree that we have good strength and depth on paper, but that means bugger all at the moment as we can't seem t score for toffee.

A better team than cardiff Bothroyd, Bellamy, Wittingham, Chopra, Keogh, Mcphail, Koumas, Olifanjana . I don't think so.
Collier Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 I'd sooner see Dyer on the wing than Waghorn.
Ric Flair Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 We are one midfielder away from a very good side and possibly a striker with explosive pace. But it is looking sweet at the minute.
cc_star Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Make all the signings you want but unless someone starts sticking it in the back of the net we'll carry on winning a few, losing a few & drawing a few. given the absurd number of chances are team is creating the forwards performances has been dreadful, if Sven hadn't sorted the defence out a bit we'd be bottom by miles.
hackneyfox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Well hopefully we'll be getting one or the other later today. Mark Davies? or a striker with explosive pace? Difficult call But if Davies is truly available for 1.5m then someone needs to move quick.

Think thats why he has signed Bednar...
Uncle Monty Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Is anyone else feeling a bit sorry for Waghorn? Left his hometown club because he was sick of sitting on the bench to move to a club where he is........ still sitting on the bench.
MPH Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 this is by far the best city team since the O'Neill days.. and it isnt even january yet!!!
CosbehFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 I am still awaiting for Vassell and Waghorn to start performing. Vitor I have already voiced concerns over and Bednar on record appears no better than what we have. And there's no way that will be our eleven come January. Sorry to be on a downer.

Not really, he is a good striker on his good days, but truth be told he hasn't been playing well at all lately.
phildw Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Can't play all those loanees your only allowed 5 in the team .…..............................!!
cc_star Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Think thats why he has signed Bednar... No better than is already here IMO Vassel, Waghorn, Fryatt & Howard, Dyer & Gallagher There aren't many better forwards than those in this division, why they can't score for Leicester is a mystery, especially now we're creating chances whereas under NP we weren't
Simmo86 Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Can't play all those loanees your only allowed 5 in the team .…..............................!! Wind up???

I don't think so. agreed on that one, deffo right, think he should have put more thought into that one, oh and bothroyd can score and has been called up for england!
h1210 Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 A better team than cardiff Bothroyd, Bellamy, Wittingham, Chopra, Keogh, Mcphail, Koumas, Olifanjana . I don't think so. In a starting XI? Might concede one or two
FantasticFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Can't play all those loanees your only allowed 5 in the team .…..............................!! Im pretty sure that this has been said in many other threads about 1203923085024 times that vitor doesn't count as he's non domestic, i think
Messi Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 I'd rather have Dyer where Vassell is to be honest, but yes we have a great team
