King Cal Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Martin Allen @mad_doggmartin has this morning tweeted: "Leicester Fans; Wonder if I can now tell all now that Mr Mandaric has left the building! In Leicester today, will bring back memories" Wonder whether he'll say anything at all, and wonder what he will say should he reveal anything?

Im of the same opinion we love to find out but very much doubt it, love the way he was so honest and had real relationship with fans always kept us informed. Was a shame it ended as it did.
hackneyfox Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 He went on to mange numerous successful clubs such as .....
cc_star Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 It is a shame it didn't work out But he only has himself to blame, no one ever signs that volume of players (14 I think) but yet has a side so unbalanced they don't have a single left-footer amongst them. Whilst he may have been a crowd pleaser by getting the players to help the cleaners or in the canteen he probably annoyed the players a bit and possibly was distinctly unprofessional. His rash signings unsettled the club and when a later manager came in & had to make almost as many signings again to try and restore balance which ultimately saw us relegated. Who cares what Maddog has got to say, some things are better left in the past. Its onward & upwards for us Also what's the point him speaking out if we're not going to hear Manderic's side of it? Allen presumably got paid up, so he should STFU!
Bettsj2 Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 He went on to mange numerous successful clubs such as ..... THIS After he left here, nobody wanted to know and they still dont. Milan saw his mistake and sacked him - Good decision. Appointing his successor - Bad decision.
King Cal Posted 1 December 2010 Author Posted 1 December 2010 to be fair think we had 6 right backs under Martin Allen
Jon the Hat Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Treating players like cleaners is clearly not going to work in this day and age is it?
StanSP Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Still waiting to see that magical Eric Odhiambo goal...
davieG Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Not wishing to defend him but he didn't sign all those player, McKay and Mandaric were deeply involved and maybe he's struggled to get a job because people don't know the truth behind his dismissal. Was he at fault or was it Mandaric, bearing in mind he got well compensated. Maybe if and when the truth surfaces we can judge it better, interesting if he explains it because it will either mean he's the innocent party or he's smoke screening the real reasons. Will we ever know the truth behind any of Mandaric's involvement with the football side of the club?

Martin Allen did say after leaving Leicester that he would have used Elvis Hammond had he not been injured. Maybe that's why nobody gave him a job.
Saladin Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I have been told exactly why Martin Allen was axed, i started a new topic just after it happened but the moderators of this site deleted the thread for some reason. I was at the player awards dinner that same season.
hackneyfox Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Fans of previous clubs posted on here to say that he was a bully.
muzzieizzet Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I heard he was invited round milans for spagetti and ended up having an argument over the dinner table in front of everyone about the team. Milan stood his ground and Allen was send packing 24 hours later. Heard this from an inside source years ago, however reading it back it does sound made up, or not, if you know what milan and martin allen were both like.

Probably becuase Mark is legally reponsible for the content of the site, and hence could have been prosecuted if your assertions were bollocks, and indeed threatend with legal action even if they were not. Who needs that? He generously out of his own pocket (mostly) and time funds and runs this site, and if he wants to stay out of potential legal issues then that is his choice.
Far Post Gerry Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I find it weird that anyone's got any bad feeling towards the guy; he can't be judged in his results, cos he wasn't here long enough. Okay, so his transfer policy was a bit Supermarket Sweep, but it might've gelled if he'd been given more time. A few cold showers and early morning swims and Kaebi could've been the new Ronaldo.
Collier Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I heard he invited Milan round for a gourmet burger and ended up just whacking some Rustler's in the microwave for half a minute. Thus, his dismissal.
Bert Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Let's hope he tells all. Word is that the fallout was over the jimmy floyd signing. Milan had worked hard at getting him a contract, allen wanted him to take a trial, jimmy didn't want to. Got the arse, wouldn't sign, which led to milan getting the mardy bums and firing allen.
Bettsj2 Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I heard he got caught sniffing cocaine in his office.

Wouldn't surprise me, after reading Jimmy's 'auto'biography he seems like a right prima donna.
Walshy5 Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I heard he got caught sniffing cocaine in his office. I also heard this. Thought I was the only one
Tevez Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Why does he still call himself Mad Dogg? With two G's aswell. There is only one Dogg and that is Snoop. Mad Twat
Stevosevic Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Why does he still call himself Mad Dogg? With two G's aswell. There is only one Dogg and that is Snoop. Mad Twat Spot on

Yeh, i see what your saying, that's what i originally suspected. I won't give any details then but all I'm saying from what i know is that Milan had his reasons for what he did, which i cant really blame him for, I'd do the same.
