brookfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 So in summary a bit of a beast who is prone to the odd howler! Does he play right or left cb?
Hibernian Fan Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 @brookfox - He played right centre back for us, when we have left footed Paul Hanlon also ar centre back, but i think when we had the shitty Chris Hogg at centre back, Bamba was the left sided one. But better on right centre back. But he can also play centre mid and was great there for us when played centre mid. He would be good in centre mid permanantely aswell as he likes to get forward and skins more players than our wingers in some games!!
Jimmy Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 @miles2lcfc - For us in his debut he got sent off and Dunfermline fans told us he was crap, but he was amazing in my opinion so give him some time @spiderpig - We need all the luck we can get well we have a few right backs going spare atm if you're short ...

He's gone from Donkey to Drogba in the space of one thread!
Hibernian Fan Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 well we have a few right backs going spare atm if you're short ... Yes please!! We have Michael Hart and Steven Thicot for right back who are both crap. Hopefully we buy or get on loan a right back soon. Although we do have Kevin McCann, a youngster who was out for about 16 months injured back from a loan spell at Inverness. But any half decent players you have must be good enough for us right now.

shailen Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Lets hope he is as good as his rhyming namesake....Christophe Samba
Hibernian Fan Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 well its a choice between Michael Lamey or Robbie Neilson... You'e having a laugh!
Ashley Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Heskey! Exactly. I love Howard as much as the next man but when the thread of Heskey returning was going around on here... Seriously have a word with your self people. Heskey would rip this division apart.
Guest Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 He must be shit, he played for Ivory Coast at the World Cup. Yeah, if he were any good he'd have played for Germany.
MeatyLCFC Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 we have signed him on a permo guys, just been announced!
Asha Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Messi and Ronaldo would be terrible signings actually. Not only would they ruin the finance of our club and send us under with just a few weeks wages, they'd upset the balance of the side.
Adster Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 we have signed him on a permo guys, just been announced! Source? I can't find it
hibeeleicester Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Thought i may aswell add my opinion..... Bamba, at times has been sensational... he has been watched by PSG, Blackburn and Liverpool (Hodgson is a fan = We rejected a bid from Fulham in the summer) But he is a very big character, he has been known not to turn up for training, lost his passport so couldnt get back from home etc. He doesnt think he has any limitations. But he's big and has great feet for a centre back, i think from what i have seen this year that he will be used in midfield for the foxes. If he plays on Sunday expect him to be great, then when you are away to s****horpe, expect him to be piss poor. Thats how he works.

Aberdeen_fox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Seen him playing a few times for Hibs against Aberdeen up here and have to say that he's fooking shit. Sorry guys, but he's a bombscare, totally accident prone and makes unnecessary blunders. For a team challenging for the Premiership in a league better than the SPL, I fear he'll be horrifically exposed for the poor defender he is. Only positives I can say is that he's good in the air and will grab goals from set pieces but IMO this is a really poor signing considering the ambition of the club and we could get a lot better than him. Can only hope he'll be back up and that those ahead of him stay clear of injury and suspension.
scott_gunnell Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 It is worth remembering that Sven would have seen how well Bamba in trainig and during matches with the Ivory coast whilst linking up with players like Drogra, Eboue, Touré, Kalou etc. If he couldnt handle that then I doubt Sven would be interested in him. Maybe he does look poor playing with Hibs but Sven will see where he fits in with Leicester.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 If he can score from corners I love him like a brother.
Joe. Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 From the Merc: He is a former Paris Saint- Germain, Monaco, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers centre-half Well researched chaps.
scott_gunnell Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 If he can score from corners I love him like a brother. Right on man ))) If he can score for anywhere, even the car park, then fine )
acooling08 Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Who the **** is this? Position? Credentials? Not sure I want to spend 250k on another unproven player to disrupt the team.
ACF Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Would you rather waste a milion quid on past-it player then, because this is all we're going to attract.
Bugg Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Nothing wrong with unproven players, just look at Charlie Austin, Steve Morison etc.
Rob1742 Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 I know a hibbies fan and he would gladly drive him south to join us. He said he is either very good, or very bad and was solely responsible for giving a goal away recently. Not sure where his nickname bombscare comes from, either because he is hard as nails or everyone panics when he gets the ball??? Maybe Sven wants a voice and some character in the dressing room
