Len Finsbury Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 He'd be an excellent addition to the squad. I fear that we're paying through the nose for these loan players though.
Criggers Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 12:57 @SkySportsbucko: Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson admits his career will probably be best served by joining another club on loan for the rest of the season. Johnson, who has made just two substitute appearances since September 2008, has been linked with Leeds and Leicester. From SS Transfer Clockwatch.

Simmo86 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Sounds like from this interview he already has a move lined up My link Shitting themselves on Waccoe that he's coming here instead of there
SMX11 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Looks like a young version of John Parkin, but he was a bit of a revelation under Sven so who knows.

One Arm Babba Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 He supported Leeds as a boy Well now at 22 he should have seen the error in his ways!!!
m00nie Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 this is one that dont excite me one bit... way too much time injured imo..
hackneyfox Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 And that is how a team like us gets a player like him.
nickelbyfox Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Think he would be a great addition, in all honesty needs to prove himself to either get back into the Man City first team, but more likely rise his stocks for a move somewhere else. I mean imagine him rather than Oakley, insane to think we could sign him.
Stevosevic Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 He'll go to Leeds. Closer to home, a Leeds fan and higher in the league.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Think it was Sven that gave him his first team break, yeah, Mr. Alex. *And to anyone quoting the 'too injured' line. That's why he's dropping down to this level, and that's why a move isn't impossible. If we could get some kind of solid consistency from him, there'd be no doubt he'd be the finsest central midfielder in this division. It's a big IF though, granted. Don't see why people are that fussed over him being a sicknote anyway, if he comes here and gets injured, he'll go back. Not too much harm done to our finances. He comes here and regains some sort of fitness, and we have a diamond on our books. Win-win.

If Johnson regains any sort of fitness and focus for the game, he will be the best midfielder in the league.

Right on - remember the last time we signed a talented but injury prone midfielder on loan - a certain Mark Davies. Johnson is in a similar situation so for me the only worry is if we don't tie down a possible permanment deal as part of the loan agreement, otherwise we may find that we unearth Manchester City or another premier club a hidden jem!
Simmo86 Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Just been browsing the Preston boards. Poster on there reckons Johnson, his dad and his agent are in the stands tomorrow. Meet his new team mates
Finchy Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Well, even if he's not in the stands tomorrow, he will be on Tuesday.
