Guest Bilo Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Did he score with his first touch for the club? Certainly did.
Drift Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Will give him another half dozen games before formulating an opinion. But yeah, he did really well for us today.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Good debut by Sol Bamba - lets hope there are more performances like that in the future!!!
Alexikokopops Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Did he score with his first touch for the club? First touch in English football. Fantastic stuff.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Wish I could have gone today. Now from all of the posts, in relation to Bamba being a 'beast', do I get the feeling that ex-Sheep defender Darren Moore is a 'Poor Man's Bamba' ??
tomtom Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Awesome debut... already love the bloke! As the hibs boys say though let's hope he keeps it up..afterall Curtis Davies had a great debut but gets slated by a few now for following performances
lcfc2k Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Just Got back to London after driving down for the game as always and SOL LA LA LA LA LA BAMBA - Was The Chant That Needed To Get Going - Absolute Rock and a Beast - Hope He Finally Fills the void left by those such as Elliot, Taggart, Walsh !!!! Great Debut, Great Game !!!!!
Kingfisher Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 The Key to Bambas future is your manager who is a genius at turning a good player into a great player . The information on this sight is incorrect . Bambas a humble player who gives 100% all the time . He has no problem with over confidence at all just a fraction of concentration lapse when playing at a standard far less than he is used to . Now he is playing in a league more suited to his level you won't have that problem . Sven has found you guys a cut price diamond !
Kingfisher Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 There's word that Sol Bamba knocked up a stripper while he was with Hibs. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm 100 per cent certain [the baby] is not [mine]," Bamba said. I believe him because I've also heard rumors--to be fair, unsubstantiated thus far--of several other women have now saying that they, too, are pregnant with Bamba's love-children after watching a few minutes of Sol Bamba's Herculean performance in the Leicester-Man City game today either live or on television. Old chestnut mate that was when he was with Dunfermline not Hibs . No foundation or truth whatsoever !!
act smiley Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Wish I could have gone today. Now from all of the posts, in relation to Bamba being a 'beast', do I get the feeling that ex-Sheep defender Darren Moore is a 'Poor Man's Bamba' ?? No. Moore is a thug without a fraction of the clever positioning, ability to read the game or class on the ball that Bamba showed today.
Ric Flair Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 He carries himself around the pitch like David Haye does in the ring. You can't help but want to buy the man a beer and tickle him.
nickelbyfox Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Well done to him on his debut, thats the sort of performance that made us love him at Hibs. As someone said earlier, his lazy style/overconfidence at times can result in errors, but he looked so comfortable against Jo and Tevez for the majority of the game. Also enjoyed reading the BBC photo caption; 'Man City could not cope with the presence of defender Bamba at set-pieces'. Not bad when up against the likes of Toure, Boateng and Lescott! Glad he has managed to bring so many fans onside in his first game, just hope he doesnt manage to ruin it with his attitude (that can be pretty stinking on occasions). bugger off he left you lot and had a great debut so honestly f off with ya parentheses and ya shite talk
Ric Flair Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 bugger off he left you lot and had a great debut so honestly f off with ya parentheses and ya shite talk A little harsh there mate.
renards Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Suspect Davis sat by the tele thinking Ooopps Understandable for him to want Prem football and has gambled going back in the hope that this may happen, in fairness he has been honest about this, he would have to be the Davis of game one and two to even get a game here. Will be a case now of Bamba +a n other
Sylvie85 Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Was very impressed, thought his communication with people was excellent. Good debut, now just keep it up!
I am Rod Hull Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Im just waiting for Man City to put a £30 million bid in for him.. He was awesome..
moseeds Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 bugger off he left you lot and had a great debut so honestly f off with ya parentheses and ya shite talk derp derp (derp) Cracking debut the man is already a fans' favourite! Surely the fastest endearment in LCFC history!! Hope he continues to live up to this incredible debut.
Jimbo Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I love being a Leicester fan! We can tell if a player is shite before he's even kicked a ball but we can also tell if a player is a world beater after 1 game! I'll reserve judgement on him until I've seen him a few more times. Don't get me worng, he had a good game. I don't think he could have wished for a better debut, and I was very impressed with him, but I'm not about to name my first born after him. I remember after a certain match against Cov a few years back. Everyone thought we'd found the Hungarian Ronaldo, look how that turned out Like I said, I was very impressed with him and I hope to see more of the same in the future, I just don't get the all this bumming him
Corky Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Terrific debut, I'm sure the goal boosted his confidence and he had the better of Tevez and Jo for most of the game. Such a threat in the opposition box too, could've had a hat-trick.
Dub Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Hi Chaps. I'm a Hibs fan, joined the site yonks ago when Steven Fletcher was meant to be headed your way. Nice to see big Sol had a good debut and I hope he keeps up the good work. £200k [rumoured] seems cheap now I'll bet. Sol was great at times at ER but I think his head filled up with dreams of playing on a bigger stage, after that we could see the difference on the park. I hope he stays focussed for you though and that he goes on to become a big hero at Walkers Stadium [whatever happened to Filbert Street, I don't keep that up to date with the happenings in english footie tbh]. Anyhoooo good luck for the rest of the season :fox:
Hibernian Fan Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 bugger off he left you lot and had a great debut so honestly f off with ya parentheses and ya shite talk Well then, met our first twat on here. He was giving his view, that's what forums are for.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Well then, met our first twat on here. He was giving his view, that's what forums are for. My favourite thing was the offence he took to parenthesis. Who could hate the humble bracket?
