shailen Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 We have only got one player in there. That is a joke
Jackirius Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 I doubt they actually go and watch many games to analyse the players performances then.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Surprised we haven't got a couple more players in there. Would've thought Wellens & Gallagher would make it in. Maybe Dyer as well.
Edmund Posted 29 January 2011 Author Posted 29 January 2011 I doubt they actually go and watch many games to analyse the players performances then. Eh? It's all generated by a computer system which calculates, completed passes, shots on goal to goal ratios etc etc.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Just noticed the date: 16/12/2010 Might have something to do with it.
Finnegan Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 It's done on pure stats, isn't it? King scores goals, Howson scores goals, Taarabt scores goals. Wellens doesn't.
Edmund Posted 29 January 2011 Author Posted 29 January 2011 Just noticed the date: 16/12/2010 Might have something to do with it. Yeah that was the last date they generated it. Think they do it at the end of each month so should be an updated version soon. I'd imagine a couple of our players will sneak into the top 100.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 We have only got one player in there. That is a joke Where the **** is Wellens? These. Grant Leadbitter is better than Wellens, Abe or Naughton. Ridiculous
Jackirius Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 The six calculations which generate the Actim Index are: Calculation 1 – Assesses a player's contribution to a winning team, based on points won by the team when he has appeared Calculation 2 – Assesses a player's performance in each game by allocating points for actions that positively contribute to a winning performance such as shots, tackles, clearances and saves. It also takes points away from players for negative actions such as yellow/red cards and shots off target Calculation 3 – Allocates points based on time on the pitch Calculation 4 – Allocates points for goal scorers Calculation 5 – Allocates points for assists Calculation 6 – Allocates points for clean sheets

cc_star Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Only one player in the whole list? Wellens & Abe have been better since after Christmas which is when we've remained unbeaten & apart from Hart's clanger King's contribution looks to have dried up List = joke
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Which is all done by a computer You were insinuating that they hire trainspotters to watch games and they decide who gets placed in the index. Which is why in Football Manager, for all it's brillaince as a game, the MoTM usually goes to the person who scores the most goals.
MC Prussian Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 One Leicester player in the Top 100? Just wait until the new Index comes out...
Callabinho Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Richie will be in it come the end of the season technically the best player in the league!
Ric Flair Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Richie will be in it come the end of the season technically the best player in the league! No he is not.
Captain... Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Which is all done by a computer You were insinuating that they hire trainspotters to watch games and they decide who gets placed in the index. Well they do hire "trainspotters" to watch the game, that is how the stats are generated, it is people who meticulously record everything that happens. There is an element of subjectivity as in to what contributes as an assist/interception/clearance, but they try to be as consistent as possible across all the games. Also the fact that shots off target counts against a player might explain why we don't have many players in the top 100.

Robbie Neilson was on the winning side a few times last season, doesn't mean he contributed that much.
jonthefox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Where the **** is Wellens? just what i was thinking. That things a joke.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 just what i was thinking. That things a joke. It could be that all the bum love for him is not actually justified. Yes he has had a good couple of months but his performances before then were woefully short of the quality required at Championship level hence why he is not in the list.

Even when we were shocking under Sousa he was one of our better players.
