act smiley Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 My job title has the word Engineer in it for no discernable reason, so a better description is "I make them bankers' computers work".

skinnydipper Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 i need some more clues . do people sometimes "get off " while you're performing ? or has anyone got "banged up" after you've performed ? You're right And others have been known to "go down" for some "bird" are you Bruce Forsyth?
Zingari Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 You're right And others have been known to "go down" for some "bird" This is turning into an FT version of "What's My Line ?" I'm still not sure though .It's a toughie . In your line of work , has any of your clients been asked to remain for the purposes of "her majesty's pleasure" ? Do baying onlookers occassionaly recommend they should "swing" Does your work mostly take place at the bar ? Have you been asked to attend to older cross dressers in their private chambers ?
AmyLGK Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Im a staff nurse on theatre recovery, I love it but it can get a bit intense. I'm not allowed to mention my job tho or Finnegan will tell me off . Wow I have the uppermost admiration for nurses. It's simply a job I'm just not emotionally cut out to do! Do you get much time off?

The Doctor Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Doing As/A-levels in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Biology. Hoping to go and do Chemistry at uni if all goes well. Not a bad life at school if im honest, free lesson periods more or less every day allow me to get my school stuff out of the way so I get a lot of free time, although weeks before exams can be hard. No proper job atm but need one soonish. where have you applied for?

Yes, yes, yes and yes (but I think the last one was by a priest at boarding school! I think he wanted to reach my "inner 'sole") BTW, choked on my cocoa when I read that
z-layrex Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Wow I have the uppermost admiration for nurses. It's simply a job I'm just not emotionally cut out to do! Do you get much time off? Umm well its a 40 hour week but do 10 hour shifts so get 3 days off a week which I think is nicer than doing 5 really, although obviously have to do some nights and weekends. Get quite a lot of leave too to make up for bank holidays. theatres is lovely really can't complain about much. Gets really busy but what job doesn't, wouldn't want to work on the wards though. My mate does physics at Oxford, he blows my mind with what he knows.
