Things that could improve the Walkers

Just wondering if you have any views on things that are needed at the walkers to improve the stadium. I would like to see the electronic advertising boards around the pitch, just seems to make stadiums look more 'modern' to me.

Also more or better faster service in the food outlets if the club do any more 'pie n pint' fixtures, I stood in a queue for half an hour on Friday that didn't seem to move, gave up in the end!

Make the current scoreboards constant all game, not flashing like they did on Friday, less level of stewards (can be too much at times) and get rid of the Fusion's restaurant - complained over slow service and undercooked food.

I hope you're joking! The last thing we want is our ground becoming even more amercanised!

Here's my brief list, off the top of my head

1. Bring back terracing- OK thats not down to the club

2. Put the away fans next to the kop, and move L block further along east stand (so the away fans are surrounded by some kind of atmosphere)

3. Do away with the fkin goal music

4. Do away with the clapping thing before a free kick is taken.

5. Put two people behind the betting counter I use rather than the one clueless woman we normally have.

6. Get more people behind the bar serving. You if you're lucky can just squeeze in a slash, fag and pint (thats if a non smoker is queuing for the beer whilst everyone else is having a fag)

Is isn't rocket science to realise that if more people get served quicker then the customers will drink more beer (I for one would have 2 pints at half time if we had the time)

To be fair the only two good things I can think of are the post horn gallop being played live before the players come out, and the fact that the stewards let you stand in L1

Electronic advertising boards to improve the Walkers, why do people go to football matches obviously not for what's happening on the pitch?

I go to be told what to buy.

jme's hit the nail on the head there, although i would extend the "no goal music" part to "no pre-match/post-match music" - i'm fed up of hearing whatever rubbish dominates the charts nowdays pre-match and that "tonights gonna be a good night" thing post-match.

Fed up of people saying 'move the kop near to where the away fans are'.

Its never going to happen, get over it.

Touchy.

Ive got nothing to get over. Im in L1 so alwats get some sort of atmosphere. I just think the whole gorund would benefit. Unless of course you enjoy prawn sandwiches

Watch football? No I regularly cough up around £60 to read who is advertising at our ground. Just think it makes the stadium look better, just my opinion!

It's been mentioned millions and millions of times on here. Thats why peterborofox gets annoyed by it.

Well in that case then there must be some reason why so many have said the same as myself!

Teach everyone to sing in time?

It's like an afternoon out with the rhythmically challenged down there sometimes :D

Oh and some sort of ejector seat for the bloke 3 seats down from me for when he's acting like a right tool.

I always wonder why the clubs anthem isn't played before kick off? I mean on Friday it was played about 15 mins before kick off? IMO it would be much better to have people belting out "When you're smiling" than hey jude right before kick off? Really would help hype the atmosphere, It would also mean more people would take note and learn the words!!!!

Again, pretty much what JME said.

I'd love to see a safe standing area at the ground. That would be a prioirty for me.

I think it would be great if we were allowed to hang banners up at the back as well. I know we'll never be allowed to put flags/banners over advertising hoardings in this day & age but I can't see an argument for them not being allowed at the back of the stands. It's be great to see the back of the stands full with different banners people had made & it'd add a bit of colour to the place as well.

On a sentimental note, I'd love to see the names of the ground & the stands take on some more relevance to the club's history as well but unfortunately, that'll never happen these days either as we'd lose sponsorship money. Not a massive deal but I just think you should try & make your ground as unique to your club as possible personally.
