Simmo86 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Ricardo Naughton Bamba Mee PVA Bruma Wellens King Waggy Yak Gally Subs: Weale, Berner, Vitor, Yuki, Oakley, Dyer, Big DV Bruma by all accounts didn't have a bad game tuesday and is probably a better option than Yuki at this moment in time. Big DV and Dyer on in the last 25 to tear their hooooooooofballing arses a new one!!
cc_star Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Our formation & style works well at home so I see no reason to change it. We just need to play at a high tempo and we can't afford to play like the lethargic 2nd half against Bristol City & away in Cardiff Weale Naughton - Bamba - Mee - Berner Abe - Wellens - King Gallagher - Yakubu - Dyer Subs: Waghorn (60mins) Vassell, Bruma, PVA, Ricardo, Vitor, Oakley If we were away, I fancy a change of formation to try & beef things up a bit, but I suppose the next away game QPR isn't the time to experiment. Weale Bamba - Bruma - Mee Naughton --------------------------------PVA Abe Wellens ------------King Waghorn - Yakubu
James18 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Mee PVA Wellens Abe King Gallagher Yakubu Vassell
RizLCFC Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Mee PVA Wellens Abe King Gallagher Yakubu Vassell And if Vassell isn't fit I'd like to see Waghorn start ahead of Dyer!
cairnsy Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Ricardo Naughton Bamba Mee PVA Bruma Wellens King Vassel Yak Gallagher (waggy 60mins)
George Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 It's not our big day out, hence the away following we're bringing compared to Birmingham last month. That was our big day out, apart from our young nippers none of us really are bothered about you lot. Our team for those interested will be: Westwood Keogh Cameron Wood O'Halleron Bell Cranie Gunnarsson Baker Platt King Ouch.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 What I'd like to see: Weale Naughton Bamba Mee Berner Abe King Wellens Gallagher Yakubu Dyer/Vassell What I expect: Ricardo Naughton Bamba Mee Berner Bruma King Wellens Gallagher Yakubu Vassell
sdb Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 I'd choose Berner, don't mind PVA but BB is a real pro - experienced, reliable and disciplined.
Will1981 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 I would definetly try a 5-3-2 formation like we used to use under O'Neill because we have a lack of wingers and PVA and Naughton would make excellant wingbacks. Weale Naughton --- Bamba --- Bruma --- Mee --- PVA King --- Wellens --- Abe Vassell --- Yakubu
drc Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 didn't stringer say that Sclupp would feature on the bench on saturday, or did I dream that ? If he will, who will get kicked out of the team ? found the tweet: (IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer Sven: Ricardo's form, @jeffers92 making #lcfc bench. Jeff Bruma interview, Wellens pulls no punches on Tues and Rudkin on youth. 104.9fm 6pm )
Dylan Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Weale Naughton Mee Bamba van Aanholt Abe Wellens King Waghorn Yak Gallagher Subs: Ricardo, Bruma, Berner, Vassell, Oakley, Dyer, Schlupp. Same back four, Weale in for Ricardo, and Waggy to start. Hopefully we start strongly and finish the game off in first half against a poor Coventry side in poor form. I think Waghorn should be given a start, with plenty of attacking options on the bench. Go out to attack Coventry and we should win- need a much better display than we did against Cardiff and Bristol City.
Fox92 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Ricardo Naughton Bamba Mee Van Annholt Abe Wellens King Vassell Yakubu Gallagher Subs; Weale Bruma Berner Oakley Waghorn Dyer Schlupp Ouch. Didn't you say that last season?
Guest BlueBrett Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 It will be what Simmo said. Maybe DV for Waghorn depending on fitness.
shailen Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 I would definetly try a 5-3-2 formation like we used to use under O'Neill because we have a lack of wingers and PVA and Naughton would make excellant wingbacks. Weale Naughton --- Bamba --- Bruma --- Mee --- PVA King --- Wellens --- Abe Vassell --- Yakubu I like this formation, with everyone in favoured positions, interesting to see vassell and yakubu link up.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 5 at the back at home against Coventry?
Bob Farley Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 5 at the back at home against Coventry? The full backs come forward so effectively we have 3 at the back and 5 in the middle.

David Guiza Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Platt and King up front? That's got to be one of the most lethargic paring I've ever seen. And not familiar with their back four other then Wood?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 If you read today's Mockery, Bruma is as good as being 1st name on the team sheet, which is a shame cos I'd like Abe back. I expect him to put out the same team as last time.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Mee Van Aanholt King Wellens Abe Waghorn Yakubu Gallagher yep this agreed - however SGE might leave Bruma in the side?
