MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Martins!!! Well done Birmingham!! Arsenal cock up yet another final - too much pressure got to them. FT 2-1 to the West Midlands.
Matt Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 If they don't win next week which really they should, no disrespect to Birmingham, they're not going to win fuck all this year, again.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Thoroughly deserved. Oh to be a Blues fan in London tonight!
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Ben Foster MOTM by a country mile. Every Brum player gave it their all, left it all on the pitch and deserved a victory.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Birmingham in Europe next season aswell, great for the club. Well done.
Corky Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 That defending for the winner. Birmingham in Europe for the first time since the Anglo-Italian Cup.
AoWW Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Really pleased for Brum - and Foster MOTM. Fans were great too - gave it their all.
Head Honcho Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I'm having a score on Birmingham at 6/1 Thank you Mr Paddy Power
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Arsenal fans meltdown (from the start) To all of you, my fellow gooners: this is one of the lowest of the lows. It hurts like hell, and it's not going to go away in the coming hours. Breath deep, and remember - we do deserve, and we will get, trophies. More significant ones, and very soon. lift your heads up high. In a few days we'll be looking at this differently - perhaps even favorably, as obviously, we still have very important lessons to learn. I don't want to know how Arsenal fans would cope with relegation (should it ever happen). They'd probably all jump off a cliff or throw themselves in front of an incoming tube. This hurts, but it could still be a season to remember. http://www.arsenal.c...enal?tab=report Yeah, once Arsenal **** up in all other competitions.
richardsfoxes Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 won 21 quid , cheeky little bet for Birmingham to score the third goal.
purpleronnie Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Great final I thought, even though I missed some watching the cricket!
MikeyT Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I said earlier that i was edged more towards wanting Arsenal to win, but i'm actually really happy Birmingham got the win in the end. Really enjoyed watching them play today. What a howler for Arsenal though for Brums winner. Well done Birmingham.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Great game, really enjoyed it. Brum deserved it I think.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Wonder what Szczesny's gonna make of that on twitter...
acooling08 Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Wanted Brum to win for a few reasons: - Always like the underdog to win - Brum should have had a penalty in the 1st minute and the Arsenal keeper should have gone. - Brum are a mostly English team. Arsenal are all foreigners except for Wilshere. - I hate Fabregas and love seeing him upset. - Love to see glory supporters cry. So happy with the result
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 The TV pundits (apart from Lineker) seem genuinely shell-shocked.

Also Birmingham did indeed have more English players in the starting line up, 5, which isn't mostly English, in fact their team is mostly foreign. And your last point about glory supporters crying, you'd have to be a pretty shit glory supporter to support Arsenal.
FowFTW Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Sorry to have to bring this up again but just wondered if anyone knew the name of the song which was played at the start of the match as the players entered the pitch? I'm sure i've heard it used on a car ad.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I personally am happy with this result, nice to see Birmingham win a Trophy, i mean it's been a long time since they were in a big final
