look at the table.... we have Sven, we have money... we are still 9th - talk facts, not sentiment... a good win today against what sounded like an average QPR side and I would have been hopeful.. but we didnt take our chances, we didnt win, and we are gonna struggle to go up

it's not as black and white as you think it is - the table doesn't tell the whole story, yes we're 9th but we had a much harder game today that any of those around us and a much poorer start than those around us.

Also sven has had one transfer window to bring people in, in a time when prices are overly-inflated in modern footballs already ridiculously high priced transfer market, other than that he's had to rely on loans and the squad we already had to turn us around like this.

If you honestly though that we were going to turn up and win comfortably today then you are delusional beyond help.

tell you what... cards on the table... i bet you fifty that City won't go up this season... put you're money where your mouth is?

Please find where I have ever said we'd go up. I've said from the start it was an almost impossible task. Just because we were left with almost no chance after Sousa left it doesn't mean we are shit. We've done bloody fantastically to get into this position and what seems like your refusal to say what a great job he's done only serves to make you look like a WUM.

Remind me how many we scored against donny at home?

QPR fan just wanting to voice my opinion.

I think you have a right to feel hard done by, I think every QPR fan would be in agreement that we didn't deserve to win the match. But sometimes those things go for you in football. Not comparing us to a top side but you see it all the time that your Manchester United's and your Chelsea's can play badly and still win.

I think you should take a lot of positives from the game, most of your team played great and your attacking options were always a threat.

As for Paddy Kenny, I am sure most of you would have done the same. It's got to be hard for a keeper getting abuse in front of away supporters for 45 minutes, I am sure most of the comments directed towards him were not nice. So when we scored he just wanted to give something back. And the fact is most teams in this league including yourselves would love for him to be in your team. 20 clean sheets this season I think it is now.

As for Taarabt playing badly, I am sure most players would play badly when they constantly have 2 players surrounding them the whole game and again, another player most teams in this league would love to have. And as for not being strong enough for the premiership, name a team in this league that are? Everyone has to strengthen in some way if they go up.

Good luck for the rest of the season, I am confident you will make the playoffs if you keep playing the same, you have the quality in your players to make it anyway.

Fair doo's man, today was 2 solid sides, going for a win, but you toiok your chance which came from us being sloppy & giving the ball away too cheaply. QPR did not do that to us too often & if you did it we would not have played that ball like Routlege did today. We made many passes which were either gathered or cleared by Kenny.

Played well, but you were better, score line does not lie.

What's that got to do with either our performance, or my comment?

You're comparing our result against runaway league leaders against Leeds performance against a team we also put 5 past.

That is a twattish thing to do

performance performance performance...... great, well done City..... we still lost....... and at this stage of the season thats what matters... all the twits who have been saying we are gonna get automatic promotion etc have been the typical overly optimistic lot (see 'Babylon' for more details) - our fans are special, our form has improved, but we are still NOT TAKING CHANCES... and if we don't, we go nowhere

If we don't go up this season then it's nothing to do with Sven, money or sentiment - it's the start we made.

Your criticism would be slightly more justified if Sven had been here all season but he hasn't. He's turned round a dire situation to one that means in early March we still have something (positive) to be playing for.

What more can you ask for?

Yes, it's frustrating that we've got close to knocking on the door of the top 6 and now we've dropped away slightly but you can't point the finger at anyone at the club now for it. With 11 games to go we have a chance that makes it pretty ****ing exciting, had we have been mediocre since he took over then we'd be hovering in lower midtable with sod all to play for and who wants that?

We may not go up this season, but is it really the end of the world if we don't?

We'll have another year in the Championship, Sven get's a full pre-season and the time to make permanent signings and build his own squad properly and we start again from game 1.

Then, come this time next season, Sven and the players can be judged more accurately.

i'd say cardiff have probably got enough in their current squad to survive.

I would wish you luck for the remainder of this season and also for next season but you've got warnock in charge so i'd love for you to fall apart this season or do a derby next season if you go up - nothing against your club, purely against colin.

What do you expect? You need a heavy dose of realism about what possible & what isn't especially when visiting the runaway league leaders who have only lost once at home

QPR too had a load of chances which they also missed, it just so happens they got the rub of the green when Gally lost possession & they scored. Shit like that could have happened at either end.

IMO Waggy & King both missed some chances, so did some of their players - but with regards to Waggy at least he got in the position & was strong enough to have chances, for me he does 100 times more than Vassell who creates nothing for himself & if we're gonna keep this formation (which made us look more solid than usual when the opposition had the ball) than Waggy would be great in a front 2, but whatever no one could contribute less than Vassell (except for you & your ridiculous expectations)

shame, should have got something with the chances we had.

Still, play like this and we should win more than we lose, definate improvement from cov.

Taarabt definately over-rated, QPR a typical colin team, no talent, just constant cheating.

also **** you paddy kenny, average keeper, druggy and absolute willy puller.

lol.

Completely undeserved, if anything we were the better team, and had the better chances. That's football I guess.

What has to be questioned is the marking for their goal, though, Bruma and Bamba looked clueless for it. Fearing the opinions of the over-reactionaries, when, in all honesty, we were the better team today. The performance was alot improved over those against Bristol, Cardiff, and Coventry, but nothing fell our way. What has become glaringly obvious, though, over the last few games, is the need for a new striker.

I'd genuinely rather see Forest promoted ahead of QPR. What a fucking moany, pissy little team.

Bad result but chin up lads (and lasses) we have still got some games left so lets all give it a go and try and sneak in the play-offs still (i know its honestly quite unlikely now). At least the red scum lost today - go go Matty Fryatt ( i know im only saying that in jest!!!)

another QPR fan here.

It was a very close high quality game which could have gone either way. We took a chance. City didn't. Giving Kenny stick & then moaning when he gives some back is pathetic. You guys could be a little more gracious in defeat if you ask me.

Thats how I see the table finishing in my totally bias, angry head.

Come on City!

I haven't done a predictions for all teams, far too much guess work in this division!

But when looking at our remaining fixtures after todays result I too had us finishing on 76 points so I'll take that!

*edit* I can't see Forest finishing on 86 points either, they're dipping and that'd be 27 points from 33 available to them.

No need! You make your opinions invalid if you can not have an adult discussion on the club we all love to watch, support & talk about, have a little respect

A few of the phrases used by Babylon on this thread:

"utter bell ends, turd for brains, talk out your arse, ignore the muppet"

and my personal favourite "as much brain power as a dead badger"

So much for showing respect :D

PLAY ****ING WAGHORN!!!!

Now don't get me wrong I'm behind Sven but PLAY ****ING WAGHORN!!!!

...think we only started playing when Waghorn came on!

Posted

Just got home after the game. We set up defensively and contained QPR for most of the match. They had their chances and so did we. Waghorn should have scored and Vassell is not good enough. We need another striker in the emergency loan market to give us some impetus.
