ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Sound, he's as good as we'll get realistically, and if he's here permanently he should show a bit more effort.
Bert Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Seems to me a bit like he's saying this because he knows his time at Everton is up and he wants us to sign him so he's sorted financially as much as anything. Having said that, I do like him and I would welcome him back after the loan ends provided wages are reasonable and Everton don't want too much for him, because the ability is there. I've heard he's struggling atm actually!
dannythefox Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 I think this nailed on what ever happens this season. BUT we dont want him and he doesn't deserve a place in the team if we sign him were stuck with him and he'll play every week no matter how well he plays. I'd rather have kamara and i haven't even seen him play yet! I carn't fault the bloke for coming to us though because were his last pay day and stupid enough to have him.
acooling08 Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 If he accepts lower wages and gets out of the rut he's in then I would probably take him. On current form he can fvck off.

If we actually had players that compliment him he'd be lethal, he's on his own too much. Kamara could just be the answer...maybe

ajthefox Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 I've heard he's struggling atm actually! you're probably right, that '50 grand a week' only just covers his food shopping so I've heard..

Salieri Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 He's too old, I want someone much younger. Enough about your private life, what are your thoughts on the Yak?
STEVIE B Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Looks as though Everton will be without Saha for the rest of the season.Could Yakubu be recalled ? They have a few injury problems.
Bugg Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Looks as though Everton will be without Saha for the rest of the season.Could Yakubu be recalled ? They have a few injury problems. No, we paid a fee (this is going off footy manager so may not be correct)
Ambitious Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Enough about your private life, what are your thoughts on the Yak? I feel we need youngsters with massive potential that'll take us not just to the Premiership, but beyond, I feel Yakubu doesn't fit into this category.
Matt Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 The Yak has arrived! Really playing for this contract isn't he?! Well I made my feelings well know after the Pompey game that I wasn't keen and would consider sending him back but over the 2 week break (and I'm not just saying it now he's scored 3 today, I stated it in this thread in the week) that I'd had a change in mind and would give him a second chance to and let him prove himself, he has started today, but it needs to continue, I don't expect 3 every week and no doubt some people will slag him off if he doesn't score 3 every week. Well done today Yak, keep it up, keep making us eat our words.
